If I was in New Delhi, I would be concerned with a strong (economically and military) Bangladesh to my East as well as a strong Pakistan to the West.

How on earth can India permanently have a pro-India government in BD!
Even the mighty Soviet Union failed in E Europe and 3rd world India got bitch-slapped by 3rd World Pakistan 1/7th it's size.
I doubt if Hasina herself really likes India all that much apart from some gratitude for 1971.
BD does not want to antagonise India as it needs another 10-15 years to build up it's economy and military.
As long as majority of BD'shis want a proud and independent BD, then India will just have to accept a strong BD in it's East.

the thing is: bangladesh should have been separated from Pakistan through a referendum, and the relations should have remained strong. it is the way that they separated that created hatred between the two, and also allowed india to effectively control it.

Thx for mentioning our main export business. We r so proud of everyone related to that business. They have shown us how to build a industry from the scratch and make it one of the leading one in the world.

Now all the other industries in Bangladesh from agricultural to technological r following their path and taking our forex reserve higher and higher.

Of course Pak won't me missed in any way. Its export is almost non existent.
