Venezuela has received its first shipment of six Chinese-made K-8 military planes, and President Hugo Chavez says his government aims to buy 40 in all. Chavez announced plans last year to buy the trainer and light attack jets.

Chavez reiterated Saturday that he turned to China and Russia for weapons because the United States has barred arms sales to Venezuela. Several planes flew overhead during the ceremony at an air base in the city of Barquisimeto.

Wow, great news:tup:

South American Arms Market is largely going to Chinese Camp. In near future we may see some more toys being shipped to that region.

Great going, just keep it up:tup::tup:

Since when is the K-8 a weapons carrying fighter

Oh my favorite poster AZADPAKISTAN2009 have asked a question.

Beside being an Intermediate trainer K-8 is also a light attack fighter.

Anyhow that was not the point nor I have mentioned K-8 as weapon carrying fighter.

The point was about the Chinese growing influence in South American Arms Market.

As K-8 are manufactured by both Pak and China also Pak has right to sale these aircrafts to other countries so in this case do we have any shares in this deal or not?
