USA transferred to paksitan 4 LM-2500 Gas turbines for milgem frigates

Specs have not been disclosed yet, but if its the Ada Class, then no VLS.

From looks of it, it is a customized Ada so i wont get my hopes too high for VLS. Honestly, Ada do not makes much sense to me at least. Should have gone for Istanbul Class (TF-100) at least with probably a Chinese or Turkish VLS. That would have been a proper acquisition (and THAT makes me doubt that may be it will be I-class that we go for after all). Lets wait and see!

India will be doing to Karachi what USA and France and UK did to Syria recently and no matter How many Air Defense systems we have we would take a massive hit but guess what our Navy has nothing like that to return the favor to cities like Mumbai and Hyderabad and Chennai and Kerala.

it make sense, Chinese fl-3000N with 23 missiles magazine will help. pakistani harba 8 tubes will be good. plus Italian 76 mm main gun and Turkish 30mm stamp. should be good enough for missile defence

VLS is not a game changer if we fail to provide good missile. currently ada class is too small for a ly-80N, it seems that south African option did not materialize for a vls missile for ada. with cost and buying a tested platform ada with turkish, chinese and pakistani options is the best mix. what we need is a good missile defense again any sort of missile. 23 cell fl-3000n is a good defence against missiles specially if it is coupled with 30mm turkish gun and 76 mm italian gun. this corvette will provide a quality AA/AD. it will be better than f-22P and almost as good as type-54P except for VLS missile.

It can fire Yu-8 ASW missle/HQ16b anti-air missle, and can't fire cruise missles.

That is exactly what I was trying say wrote wrong. The Type 54 VLS are only for Air Defense not for Cruise Missiles we need ships which have at least 12 to 16 VLS for Cruise Missiles

let's wait for that. for now, if we get 4 ada with fl3000N, harba, decent guns and torpedos, have a good multi role helicopter and you have a decent platform that is true multi role and match or exceed f-22p or type 21. get 4 type-54a with ly-80N plus other bells and whistles and you have a fleet of 12 decent surface platforms for various mission encompassing AA/AD and more. add 2 OPV and possibly 2 swift. all of the above by 2025 plus new subs, ZARB, CM400AKG, c802a, anti ship babur, p-3c, atr72, naval strike JFT, new look PMSA with modern ships and boats etc. I would say PN has announced itself.

exactly, 23 cell fl-3000n with other automated and semi-automated guns will provide ship defense against any anti-ship missiles, infect I would say put 2 -3 fl-3000n 23 cell each on f-22p and remove fm90n completely

I think there is a misunderstanding here. And I am saying this again, no offense to my Pakistani friends but what is your obsession with vertical launch systems? I am pretty confident that Pakistani naval officers involved in the project know what they are doing.

Ada-class corvettes are primarily designed, equipped and manned as anti-submarine warfare and patrol ships with limited operational capability at NATO Sea State 6. It is not designed as a warship with significant AAW capabilities. Period.
We have separate programs for naval AAW.

Ada-class corvettes are primarily designed, equipped and manned as anti-submarine warfare and patrol ships with limited operational capability at NATO Sea State 6. It is not designed as a warship with significant AAW capabilities. Period.
We have separate programs for naval AAW.

Ada class is like American LCS.

MilGem Frigate is I-Class as both Ada and Istanbul are designated as MilGem but Ada is MilGem Corvette. So it could be I-Class with 16-Cell VLS.

Istanbul Class (TF-100)...

I-Class and TF-100 are different projects. The first TF-100 Frigate is supposed to be built in the 2020s.
