We stayed away from BRI from 68 years of our existence (CPEC signed in 2015), so to speak.
We were their most allied ally. They still didn't treat Pakistan the same way as they treat India.

The assumption of parity is an interesting one, but quite foundationless. Of course, Pakistan can refuse any of the aid listed above in the thread if they so decide. Why not say what you said above more effectively by refusing the aid that you so obviously hate?
