What does the US have the upperhand over China in SCS? All the US bases and carriers in Asia are targets of over 1000 short to middle range missiles, not mentioning that China can blow US communication satellites. I don't think US military is that stupid to fight a war with China in SCS.

US invented anti-satellite warfare many eons before China and has perfected it ever since. US is the only country with an operation and widely deployed stealth plane, china's J-20 is not even deployed till now. Whats more, all of the US war-machines networks well in a single ensemble. China has yet to make her war-machine in a single cohessive unit and prove it.

China is an unproven neophyte at the best while US is the real war veteran.

And dont drag India into this, we are a peaceful non-violent country who won their independence by following a leader who preached about turning the other cheek.

There will be no war between the US and China, but there MIGHT be a short shooting fight in the South China Sea.

The PLA's massive land army will be useless as the US have no intentions on mainland China. This naval skirmish will be where China will overestimate herself and it is China who will withdraw embarrassed.

The US is all bluffing, they know it for sure they will get beaten badly by China, thats why they threaten using nuke if their pathetic navy being sunk by China's ASBMs and other convential weapons, and thats why they back off and run like rabbits during the very short-lifed confrontation in SCS.
