US Vice President Joe Biden paid a visit to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at his residence in Uskudar and had a tete-a-tete meeting.

During the two-hour long meeting, views were exchanged on regional developments, especially on cooperation against terror and the situation in Iraq.

Also first photographs of the Prime Minister after the operation he had last week.

Biden moved on to Prime Minister Erdogan's residence after Global Entrepreneurship Summit to extend his get-well wishes.

Justice and Development Party VP Omer Chelik, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu and Turkey's Ambassador to Washington Namık Tan were present at the meeting.

The American delegation included National Security Adviser Antony Blinker, National Security Council's Turkey DirectorAntony Godfrey, and US Ambassador to Turkey Francis Ricciardone.

The guest officials have underlined that America does always stand by Turkey in the fight against terror.

US vice president visited historical sites in Istanbul and tasted Turkish food on Sunday.

Joe Biden tasted food peculiar to southeastern province of Gaziantep in Samatya neighborhood, and bought olive, honey and cheese from a market before flying back to the United States.

Biden chatted with a fish restaurant owner, citizens and tourists in the neighborhood.

Wonder how Pakistanis perceive Turkey ... friendly or enemy... since Turkey is a NATO member too
