US town rejects solar panels amid fears they 'suck up all the energy from the sun

I'm sure the mainstream media is thrilled with the headline. The details, though, may not be without merit, as large-scale solar projects can affect the local micro-climate. For example, although not a solar project, in Puerto Rico at the 1,000-ft Arecibo radio telescope the temperature is colder and the plants different than the rest of the island - and that only happened after the 'scope was built.
