Russia has good stockpile but aside from that they could be defeated in direct conventional war rather easily they are going down in population size and are not as formidble as they were during the Soviet era

Caucasus is like 2m lool and they were never a thing just minor minor minor city riot and never will be a thing there population is just to low to even form a country and even if there were vote to cede majority will vote to stay with Russia because where is there to go with that low population economy wise not good.. If the US had overstayed Afghanistan it could have gone corrupt and collapse just like what happened to the Soviet union.
