America needs huge market for so many products. especially products related to defense and IT. currently India has huge trade with china (For IT related or other products) and US want to shift china. (I know US already has enough share in Indian market but they want more)

So sooner or later US will agree because at the end of the day all those businessmen in US-senate want to grow.

The US is probably using this as a leverage to extract desired terms and conditions for Nuclear arena. Once India gives in to the US demands on Nuclear program restraints , all this would be a shoe in.

India Is To using It in same .India Knows How Desperate Yankees Are.Its Relieve that We are not Bounded by Some Treaty of Friend Ship .That's How we Play it

America Shove Its way Into Indian Entry Into MTCR Which is a Biggest achievement We made which was Surprising .We Were Expecting very low chances After Italian Blockade of our Entry to this Elite group

Some sour grapes for you guys:

The House of Representatives version of the NDAA already includes the India specific amendment, while the amendment couldn't be included in Senate version because of procedural issues but most importantly NOT A SINGLE senator opposed the amendment.
But all this doesn't matter as the Congress Conference Committee is guaranteed to include the India specific amendment when they decide the common and final version of the bill which will be passed to President for signing.

No India need US market. Right now balance of foreign remittances are in huge Indian favor. But in backdoor, in return US want some returns.....wait and see...

IMO India already major defence partner of USA; May be USA stay just short of declaration due some other strategy. Still it does not matter among USA and India, status quo is already there.

India need to show some regional political guts against China. West still put lot of money on India to stand them against China....still no luck.

true..but India being the largest democratic country in the world, it can't take radical steps against China...moreover, India will have to meet china in its aspirations like UNSC seat where china holds a Veto....so India is playing its cards responsibly/carefully....it is China who is showing all its cards by opposing India at every stage..no wonders, world is seeing how cat blind china is ! So sooner or later, India will lead the world!

Fact is India is the new watch man for SA for the US and they will wow India to get exactly that. We Pakistanis should be looking at the nitty-gritty of what got approved and what not rather we should wake up and smell the coffee. Thanks to out failed and now self exiled PM we have absolutely no strategy to take on these changing geopolitical scenario. India will get from the US what it wants make no mistake about it, we need to get our priorities in order. To think that US is still an ally, this is going to bite us in the ***.
