The US Department of Defense (DoD) is seeking to procure an additional 114 Sikorsky UH/HH-60M Black Hawk helicopters over a three-year period from fiscal year 2019.

A Sources Sought notification posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website on 19 July requests that industry provide the DoD with information related to their ability to satisfy the requirement to manufacture and deliver the additional UH-60M utility and HH-60M medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) Black Hawks to the US Army, as well as to other DoD and US government agencies, and potential Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.

The request for information (RFI) noted that, as the government does not own the proprietary information related to the Black Hawk, any bid would require a teaming arrangement with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), which in this case would be Sikorsky’s parent company, Lockheed Martin. Interested parties have 30 days to respond to the RFI.
