US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Blasts China’s ‘Shameful Hypocrisy’ on Muslims on Twitter

11H 59M AGO

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on 27 March, chided China's "shameful hypocrisy" over its treatment of Muslims in the Communist nation while protecting violent Islamic terrorist groups from sanctions by the United Nations.

Pompeo was apparently referring to China blocking a proposal to designate Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed's chief Masood Azhar as a 'global terrorist' at the UN Security Council earlier this month.

LOL the world doesn’t give a fvck about US hypocrisy anymore.

The Americans should beg to Islamic nations for condemning China LOL

China, Pakistan and Russia should grind the Americans in Afghanistan for another two decades. This is what our policy should be. Keep them preoccupied. We know how to keep the Yanks busy.

I am surprise that Pompeo knows the word "hypocrisy". But then again, the guy seem to demonstrate that he is confuse about the meaning. He understand that it is not a good thing, that could be sure.

I don't know who is Jaish-e-Mohammed.

So I can't make a judgement here.

But Pakistan's image, in my opinion, is a poor and backwater country, which is a fertile ground of extremism.

Although many of my Pakistani friends said that most of Pakistan people prefer modernization, that is why most of election winners are from secular parties.

They are biggest hypocrite and this crazy US administration has dragged reputation into gutter. They constantly veto criticism of Israel yet are against veto for other country.

They constantly criticise Russian annexation of Crimea but casually promote Israel annexing if Golan Heights.

They are against Iran having nuclear energy but now supplying Saudi with nuclear support.

They are a joke now.

US frustration with China is at all time high, and this tweet by the Secretary of State is a testimony.

US seems to be in scrambling position.

China does more than one things at a time, and the US simply scrambles to respond to those moves: BRI, 5G, FDI, AI, etc.

It is eye-opening to see that the US does not really offer alternatives, but, simply bad-mouths, screams angrily, and talk incessantly.

They badmouth BRI, but they have no alternative to it. Sometimes they utter a measly 30 million dollars in investment to counter China, but, usually, that does not go further than cheap political bickering.

This mode of conversation is beneficial to China.

China should walk the walking, the US should do talk the talking. Some half a decade would be enough.

Hence, US political radicalism, angry tweets, high-pitch media briefings are music to the ears of those who think strategically.

By incessantly like an angry Hitler, the US officials undermine the credibility of their own regime.

Rest of the world does not like to be lectured or treated as brainless idiots in which the US knows their interest better then those nations themselves do.

Frankly, Pakistanis don’t care about what the Western world thinks or believes. The ordinary white man thinks that all Eastern cultures are supposed to be inferior and backward. Pakistan is not an exception. This opinion stems from a sense of superiority and ignorance. There is a lot of misinformation due to political reasons.

What most of these white folks fail to understand is how their governments, NGOs and intelligence communities blatantly interfere in the internal affairs of mostly all developing nations.

The world is changing. The likes of China and Russia are filling the vacuum. They are economic powerhouses and an alternative to Western nations. Of course China and Russia also have to face Western propaganda and smear campaigns, but that doesn’t make an iota of difference. The world is a changing place.
