The reality is US has to decrease its defense budget. The military and republican herd do not like this. They would rather shave a few billions in salaries by reducing the number of school teachers than decrease the defense expenses by $100B.

So what do they need? More rhetoric, create perception of threat in public, demonizing China, Russia, etc to justify the expenses...

All of these countries have sufficient nuclear weapons to guarantee mutual destruction in the event of war... you can not win such a war, but all can lose so why bother?

The sooner US realizes that he can no longer try to control the rest of the world the better it will be for all of us.
