I can't be reading this right:-"US Returns Stolen Gandhara Antiquities to Pakistan"

They must have little value.

Glad that Pakistan respects its heritage. Afghans (Taliban) have not done justice to theirs in the past.

.
Thank you USA. Gandhara is a significant piece of Pakistani heritage.

Indians think the whole subcontinent and its heritage is theirs, just because their republic is called "India". In fact, the Pakistani IVC is India's baap.

That's funny. It wasn't the Taliban who smashed Babri masjid in 1992.

if it was upto me i will gift em back to US
cos here no one will appreciate it
just some weeks ago a jahil molvi broke life size budha
which was according to some estimates thousands of years old and extremely rare find
but the monkey tore it into pieces with jack hammer
only if we had sent it to japan they would have given us millions if not billions in aid

Thank you. The question arises how were they stolen and where are the culprits? Were they ever caught?

According to this:
" In a statement released on Monday, the DA office recalled that in 2015, they and the US Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) office had executed multiple search warrants and seized close to 100 antiquities from “Nayef Homsi, a known trafficker involved in the illegal looting, exportation and sale of ancient art from Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and other nations”. This is a problem with Indian's [babri demolitio job], Pakistan and Afghans. All of South Asia need to respect each of their heritages. It was nice to see Islamabad Airport celebrate North West Pakistan's Gandhara civilization with "Gandhara Galleries".

Much if not most of these artifacts are abroad and hundreds are auctioned every month in private galleries throughout the world.
