If the article mention Situation in Ukraine, Georgia and Poland, I would understand. But to talk about Libya? Well, Syria seems like a better example. But again, North Africa in all sort was former Europe Colony, US have no interest in the region, had EU not ask the US to join the bombing campaign, the US would not even touch Libya at all, just like pretty much rest of Africa after the Somalia conflict.

And yes, Peace keeping mission is to support the rebel to topple the Gaddafi regime by protecting the rebel and inhibit the governmental force movement, otherwise what is peace keeper for? Tourist?
