US panel approves ban aid to Sri Lanka over human rights record

Well good luck with that.

Right now as it stands, the US accounts for 1.8 billion USD of your total 8 billion exports. UK and India are next. Would be interesting to see how Colombo intends to "shift" it's export market when your current setup is giving you 8% growth.

lolzz she visited chennai....
india behind or not..i welcome this move..

u killed innocent tamils..and u r asking for humanitarian aid??

SL act against a terrorist group, not against the civilians. I think government won't have major issues with aids, they have started mega sport complex project in north few days ago too. we have less IDPs at camps now, around 10,000. Government will find money for housing schemes for those Tamil civilians housing projects in North province.

if this is the case then why UN is behind u???
u killed a lot of innocents, there is video proof of that.

In the future Sri Lanka will be more active with Pro-Sri Lanka countries then Anti-Sri Lanka countries.

Now we are busy with our long term economic plan and economic reforms, so we will always try to be low profile.

Sri Lanka had it coming.

And this threat by Lankans of "we have china" for exports, why would China want to import anything from Lanka which is detrimental to its exports?

yeah as if we care what your secret mission is , the very reason why you are given importance is because of your strategic position in india ocean.

Don't you think it's funny if army killed innocents and keeping Tamil Tigers and rehabilitating them to join normal society.
Few month ago I read on a local news paper about a story who is in rehabilitating camp, his complaint was his child killed by Tamil tiger when he tried to escape. U have to ask from the people who face that situation in those areas. Welcome to Sri Lanka.!

US took the right move , the lankans kill innocent tamils and also shoot at our own innocent fishermen . If any more fishermen are killed the indian gov will be forced to an action against sri lanka
