US officials: F-35 will outmatch any aircraft in development

F35 Joint Strike Fighter: A $1.5 Trillion Lemon!

21st Century Wire says…
July 3, 2015

As the millions of Americans wander the streets looking for nonexistent jobs and the government claims there is no money available for anything useful, rest assured that the private military industrial parasites have managed to somehow siphon off $1.5 trillion of public money into a boondoggle that even falls short of a jet developed way back in 1974.

“There will be no gun for the Joint Strike Fighter’s Block 3F as there is no software to support it now or for the next four-ish years,” an Air Force official affiliated with the F-35 program told the Daily Beast.

“Block 3F is slated for release in 2019, but who knows how much that will slip?”And then there’s the problem with the guns: “Equipped with a gun, Air Force’s F-35A version barely carries enough ammunition. Despite being able to shoot 3,300 rounds per minute, it will only be carrying 180 to 220 rounds.”:woot: You can imagine the crass rebuttal from the war hawks, as they puff on their imported Cohiba cigars, “Who cares. We got paid.”

In other words, the F-35 is a lemon!

Once Australia get its F-35, it is the moment we can know the truth. With Indonesia will also have Su 35 in the coming years, so Australia and Indonesia will likely to create some kind of dog fight practice between these two monster just like Su 27 vs F 18 Super hornet dog fight practice we had in Pitch Black , Australia.

F 35 is a fat cat useless plane usual PR statement nothing more

And you believe the premiere military in the world, along with its partners, are betting their continued supremacy on a useless plane?:what: What a strange world you live in.

For others, F-16.net is a great sight for f-35 related commentary.

The fifth-generation multirole fighter has been in development for 14 years and the B-model has only just achieved operational status with the US Marine Corps, but the US military appears confident that it is still introducing a cutting-edge weapon system capable of outclassing modern, supermanoeuvrable Russian and Chinese aircraft like the Sukhoi T-50 (PAK FA) that were largely designed to counter the F-35 and F-22.

Speaking after the unveiling of Norway’s first F-35A in Fort Worth, Texas, Kendall and F-35 programme executive officer Lt Gen Christopher Bogdan expressed confidence in the aircraft’s projected capabilities once it completes development in 2019.

“It’s the finest fighter airplane in the world and nothing compares to it,” Bogdan says. “I’d put this airplane up against any airplane in the world today, tomorrow and for the next 20 or 30 years and we’ll come out ahead.”

Bogdan was responding to a question about whether the F-35 could hold its own against the latest Russian jets, particularly the T-50 that will reportedly enter service in 2016 in a limited capacity.

“We don’t expect any airplane that’s currently in development to be seriously competitive with this airplane,” Kendall adds.

The comments come amid concerns about the jet’s manoeuvrability after it was outpaced during air force flight trials against a Lockheed F-16 earlier this year. Meanwhile, Russia and China have been hard at work on their own next-generation combat jets, particularly the Sukhoi Su-35 “4++ generation fighter” as well as the fifth-generation Russian T-50 and Chinese Chengdu J-20 and Shenyang J-31.

Bodgan again took aim at those claims, saying the F-35 “can pull 9gs and can turn almost equal to our modern fighters” despite not being “uniquely designed” as a highly agile, dogfighting aircraft.

The programme chief insists the aircraft is designed for long-range kills, and can spot a potential combatant long before coming into visual range. “That dogfight is going to end very, very quickly,” he says.

Bogdan and Kendall’s confidence in the F-35 was seconded by Royal Norwegian Air Force chief of staff Maj Gen Per Egil Rygg, who is relying on the JSF to replace an aging fleet of F-16s. Norway is procuring 52 aircraft and expects to be fully operational by 2025 with initial operational capability in 2019.

Speaking to Flightglobal on the sidelines of the rollout, Rygg said Russia is going to need to think more carefully about pigging Norway’s airspace once the F-35 is on patrol.

“For us, the Russian activity is more of a routine,” he says. “We’ve done that [air interdiction mission] for years and years and they are fairly predictable. I think with the introduction of this capability, they will see we have quite a capability in the area and they will probably have to think about that.”

LOL“That dogfight is going to end very, very quickly,” hesays.

You told this in early 70s you even came up with aircraft without guns. Today guns are there in very single aircraft of your fleet sir.

But I give full trust with us stealth technology. F35 could surprise many experts who are critical about this projects and compare it with j20 or 31. Well Chinese managed to snoop in into secret info but am sure snooping is one thing and actually product is an other. No way Russians or Chinese could mater them. But our history said when us UK sold its engine to the soviets they came up with pretty much good stuff than the Americans like migs which still rules the skies of of many nations. No second thoughts of Russia China sharing the info of scooped technology of fifth generation. Hard road ahead. But I best bets are with US.

I dont think so :partay:

Brother fish generation features are b not just about resemblance but more importantly the avionics which is far ahead of Chinese or Russians

But still Russians dint wanted to let IAF the big mouth to try there PakFa isn't it? Because there will be no secrecy with IAF

no doubt American Avionics are bettewr then Chinese and Russians but overall Pakfa and J-20 are way ahead of F-35 :)
How could you even came to that conclusion?

I dont think so :partay:

Even though am belong to user of PakFa I doubt it's electronic warfare capabilities against f35

F35 is a fighter bomber not air superiority fighter. When it can intrude into enemy territory then it's had achieved it's operational requirements. I guess it already can

F-16A:

F-16A ‘Netz’ Tail 107

The ‘Netz’ 107 was one of the first F-16 Delivered to the IAF in 1980, and has 6.5 confirmed kills, making it the world’s top F-16 ace in air-to-air combat. 107 also took part in “Operation Opera” on June 7, 1981, destroying the Iraqi Osirak nuclear reactor southeast of Baghdad. After nearly 35 years of operational service with the IAF, 107 was retired in February 2015 and is now on display in the Israeli Air Force Museum

This is a perfect example of ignorance of armaments.

What is the point of having a machine gun ? To deliver increasing higher rate of bullets to a target.

If the criticism of the F-35 having an ammunition load that is far less than the cyclic rate of its machine gun is to be taken seriously, then why not level the same criticism against the M-16 or AK-47 ? After all, both guns carry far less rounds per magazine than their cyclic rates.

If the desire is to deliver multiple bullets to the same target in as short a time span as possible, then which is better, 100 bullets at ten meters interval, or 100 bullets at one meter interval ? The machine gun that deliver 100 bullets at one meter interval will be able to deliver more bullets to a moving target than the machine gun that deliver bullets at ten meters interval. This is basic physics in weapons design. The cyclic rate have nothing to do with ammunition availability.

Let us say that the F-35 can carry 3,300 rounds but the cyclic rate, meaning the physical distance between bullets, is 100 meters. That mean round 2 is 100 meters behind round 1. Then round 3 is 100 meters behind round 2. Then round 4 is 100 meters behind round 3. And so on...

Rate of fire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Who is his right mind is going to authorize such a purchase ? This is a cyclic rate of ground artillery.

If you cannot have 10 rounds on the moving target AT THE SAME TIME, then you want those 10 rounds to be as close to each other as possible. How much ammo you carry is a different issue.

Further, since the end of the Korean War where gun fire between fighters was expected, the increasingly higher airspeed of jet fighters mean opposing fighters do not have a lot of time to maintain focus on a target, which mean any microsecond can be a wasted opportunity, which mean higher calibers are necessary to increase the damages should a bullet land on the target. The days of lumbering and non-maneuvering bombers for the fighter pilot to take time to line up behind the targets are over. Even the American B-52 is more maneuverable than the WW II era bomber of any side. Then what about the fighter-like B-1 ?

When the critics slammed the F-35 as a 'lemon' but they cannot comprehend the difference between a machine gun cyclic rate vs its ammunition availability...

US officials: F-35 will outmatch any aircraft in development
thing is F-35 like all other past US fighters are a giant leap over the past doctroine and most people here who make fun of F-35as bieng fat and low on power and manuverability forget as to what are the key strenth of F-35 and chances are they will never know it aswell

the ammount of new tech developed for and around F-35 will onli filter owt in next decade or so

to me F-35 is the best stealth plane ever made and its radar internal avionicks and a special set of new wepons are almost like sience fiction to many here when they are compared to existing militarry aviation hardware avilable in south asia :coffee:

common TT sir you cant compare Israeli Air Force jets and doctroine to any other asian air force its like ,,,,, u know what i mean :coffee:
