Russia has a policy of not buying foreign. India is in talks with Russia to buy Brahmos as its a JV not foreign. They are legally prohibited from buying foreign-made arms and must only use domestically made ones.Project 11356 frigates will get the BrahMos missiles soon.

Actually, its because Brahmos is just another version of Yakhont. And if they have Yakhont, why would they want Brahmos. They can leave the bragging of Brahmos to Indians.

Kid,first solve problems in your country,Your HDI is low (ours is medium),Your percapita GDP is just $2800 (ours is $3700) and your literact rate is 56%(ours is 74%).So use your defense budget to help thise poor,illiterate people in country.

India has far better R&D & manufacturing Industry than you-you guys cannot even develop a 70 cc motorbike engine Indigenously.

Indian missiles are far advanced than your's,we have ICBMs,Quasi Ballistic missiles,Scramjet engines ,SLBMs which you cannot even develop in a 2 decades.
Indian Rockets can even deliver payloads to surface of moon.Can you guys even develop a basic SLV,we developed in 1979?

And Indian hekicopters have been sold to a lot of countries,Something Pakistan can only dream of.

The man-portable version is no where on the horizon. At the moment there are only two thrust areas with regard to the Nag system, one is the integration of a miniaturized cryogenic cooling system with the un-cooled LWIR seeker of the Nag- which has been completed and the other is the development of MWR seeker for the Helina which is ongoing.
