Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly today forecasted details of the service's forthcoming force structure assessment, despite a temporary hold on the document from Defense Secretary Mark Esper. Speaking at the Brookings Institution, Modly said the recently conducted Integrated Naval Force Structure Assessment, or INFSA, showed the Navy working toward a 390-ship fleet of manned platforms and a 435-ship fleet when including unmanned platforms. Navy has DDG 51 Flight III, a plan for new super destroyer which will be even bigger than Flight III, new plan for cruisers to replace aging ones, and currently working on 20 frigates, that alone will give 150 combat vessels, with frigates alone having at least 32 cells. not to mention ships is not even the main power of US Navy, thousand+ stealth fighters will be its true power.
