By the way, democrats also benefited hugely from this. They let Republicans make a fool out of themselves over this incident in the media, and then the incident fizzled as if Iran was a long lost buddy of US, and Kerry came out a hero who just has to make a phone call to fix any international problem.
Yes, it happened recently. Apparently this was blocked until Obama gave his last SONA (state of the nation address).
Just for your info this is a propaganda channel, yesterday they made a video saying Raheel shariff threatend to nuke Iran. How embarrassing for the US Navy.
Yes, it happened recently. Apparently this was blocked until Obama gave his last SONA (state of the nation address). How very poorly , poorly handled , given that the two rcbs were left unaided. At least it is important to note that the soldiers were given shelter and treated cordial demeanor according to Islamic Law.
The United States has since then apologized for the gaffe.
What I'm getting from Japanese defense forums is that these rcbs were actually captured by Iranian Navy after they were (they were actually part of a multiple USN operation) in trying to intercept Iranian resupply to Houthi rebels in Yemen. As you may or may not know (but i think you know, lol), the USN is now aiding the KSA in its campaign in Yemen, by indirectly inhibiting resupply missions conducted by the Iranian Navy.
I've some friends in JMSDF stationed in Djibouti , the US navy personnel have been talking about that for quite some time, anyways.
My guess is that these 2 rcbs entered too deep into Iranian waters, and were under the sights of Iranian Navy guns, either surrender or resist and be shot. My gut instinct is leading me to lean towards the first.
Dramatic video shows ten American sailors on their knees as they surrender to Iranian troops while their commander APOLOGIZES for trespassing in the Persian Gulf

HaHa, in next blockbuster Hollywood has to work very hard to make a twist about this.
Well there not going to start a fight are they, any nation that sails into another space uninvited will be detained, its happened to pretty much every nation, military or civilian. Last week Denmark had the crew of a Russian cargo ship detained because they were drunk haha.Seeing American personnel kneeling that that...hmmm...
