They were lucky cos the locals wanted them out from their area., not hurt them But the indian pastor was beaten cos of personnal agenda

This source is from NY post while the report of Indian pastor is from a Christian Website and not from a main stream media. But whatever floats your boat.

But our neighbours tend to have different standards when dealing with India.

These missionaries somehow managed to put a big billboard banner in Dubai "The end is nigh, come forth to your lord Jesus" something like that, last may when they had declared the world was about to end.

Being American - they were let go off with a warning.

I think they managed to convert many people of the Garo tribe in the central regions. This might cause a decline in the Garo culture

Culture of minorities like Garo, Chakma, Adivasis, etc were already on decline - unfortunately.

Nobody is defending the stone throwing incident. We all just want them to be out of bangladesh or closely monitered in bangladesh

I rarely post articles to bash a certain nation. This looked interesting to me. A few observations,

1) The Pastor in india was forced naked, paraded in town, not the case here.

2) The missionaries or the local chritsians were not arrested as in the case of naked pastor.

This incident if true is troubling to say the least. Missionaries do offer financial benefits to convert. Billions of dollars go from the American evangelists for these causes.

The missionaries in general hold the view that the Muslims are the toughest nut to crack/convert. One particular one in the 1870's saving lives in the name of Jseus in Egypt stated that the 72 virgins is the main reason why Muslim men would not convert.

Missioneries are religious (christian) not country specific, mobs are local not religious, hence the correct title should be

These missionaries should be kept in check specially the foreign NGO's. These shameless thugs converts poor non-muslim tribes men
in exchange for money. This has completely changed the demography of CHT and other tribal regions which if not stopped may lead
to disaster. Imams should run active dawa programme to reconvert these people. Tragedy of E.Timor has similar beginnings
were a country like Indonesia failed to protect its citizens from these missionaries and ultimately lost E.Timor.
