US military 'weak,' unable to win a single war: American think tank

If this forum has a limit on the number of posts one can start, I'll follow, again, you really believe everyone thinks you are normal when you say I m not normal? it all depends on people's positions and perspectives, so we better leave it.

Do you think western media's round the clock China bashing is normal? in the eyes of the west, it's normal and if you argue back, it's not.
I don't know where is said "Western Media" round the clock China bashing happened. I mean if your source of "Western Media" is Epoch Time, then probably yeah.

Most Western Media (CNN, MSNBC, ABC and so on) don't bash China, in fact, most of them don't care about China, Fox and Sky news on the other hand, probably a bit more but then cable news network is controlled by political party, they use them with political motive. And no, they aren't really mainstream

Again, not a whole lot of people in the West care about China or what happened in China. If you want to use tabloid and judge the entire Western Media as a whole, then well, you are being selective.

I don't see normal people would do that. In fact, even the ultra nationalistic PDF here, only him and another dude would come up that frequent to post those kind of stuff. It must have taken him ages just to look for bad things in US to talk.
Yeah its not a normal behaviour to be honest. Who knows why he does that? We can only speculate his motives.
Moroever, you are right, there are several other Chinese members on here(even ultra nationalist ones), but they dont indulge in the kind of constant bombarding of threads for China and against US every single day like he does. Apart from one other who i forgot the name. But the rest are kind of normal/average in their posting . Beijingwalker by contrast is something else. Something seems off .

I don't know. As I said, no one would care about something not his to care about that much. I don't really know nor care why he is doing that, but hey it give us something to read everyday.............Whether you like it or not.........LOL

Ah, I don’t worship anyone, and if you see my posts in the Ukraine-Russian War thread, you’ll have a good idea of where I stand.

However, I would like you to see reality for what it is. I mean, Pakistan folded after one call to your army chief from a Secretary of State. What more do you want me to say? Then another Secretary of State, Ms. Rice, conspired with your ex-army chief to bring you the NRO, the same people who prevented the landing of your army chief, the same one who got you the NRO.

As I stated earlier in the week, please show me how anyone can stop the US logistically from raw material to hardware production to the capacity to carry out a war.

Two things I want to say. First, see how Russia is getting its butt handed to it by Ukraine with US weaponry and intel support, and Russia did not dare touch any American asset to stop its support. This is the same Russia that lost 300 Wagner mercenaries a few years back when they tried to attack a US military installation in Syria, and Russia didn't respond. Now imagine if the US went full throttle.

Lastly, and the most important thing I want you to understand, is that the West will collectively shield the US as their center of gravity as it represents Western principles and culture. It is their Mecca. The failure of us Asians is we do not gravitate to such thinking. We, in our neighborhood, would instead align with the West to spit on China's face. The Arabs used Iraq for selfish reasons and tossed it to the wolves. You look at the US as the enemy, but we are our own worst enemy.

Now, even though I’m a U.S. citizen, I still look after my self-interests and survival; I could care less if this country sinks as long I’m the last one standing, even if I have to walk over my fellow citizens. If I'm harsh on Pakistanis, I want you to be better. Nobody has ever strengthened themselves with love, so change your culture and mindset.

Now the US isn't some God that can't be defeated. It can, but you'll need Europe and China at full war footing together, and I do not see that happening.

US military 'weak,' unable to win a single war: American think tank

Wednesday, 19 October 2022 1:15 AM

An American think tank rates the US military's current level of capability as "weak," saying the force is incapable of winning a single war against archrivals China and Russia, let alone two concurrent ones.

The New York Post daily published excerpts of the report prepared by the Washington-based Heritage Foundation on Tuesday.

The foundation's assessment only appraised the Marine Corps as “strong,” while giving the Army a “marginal” rating, evaluating the Space Force and Navy as “weak,” and finding the Air Force to be “very weak.”

"[T]he current US military force is at significant risk of not being able to meet the demands of a single major regional conflict,” the report lamented, adding, "The force...is certainly ill-equipped to handle two nearly simultaneous [major conflicts]."

The right-wing foundation blamed, what it called, years of underfunding and “poorly defined priorities” for the military's becoming “weak relative to the force needed to defend national interests on the global stage."

As many as "20 years of operations" had taken its toll on the force, the report said, referring to the United States' invasions across the world, especially in the West Asia region, over the past decades.

It referred to the country's inflation as another major factor that was costing the military dearly. "At present, the [US President Joe Biden] administration’s proposed defense budget for [fiscal year] 2023 falls far short of what the services need to regain readiness and to replace aged equipment,” the report said, “and Congress’s intention to increase the proposed budget by 5[%] accounts for barely half of the current rate of inflation, which is nearing 10[%]."

Amid the already dire situation, the possibility of two-front fighting had increased, the think tank said, citing Russia's February-present military operation in Ukraine and, what it called, China's becoming "increasingly aggressive" in the Pacific.

"In the aggregate, the United States’ military posture can only be rated as 'weak,'" the foundation concluded.

Yes weak, very weak.
