There is NO way Pakistan would allow the Blatant violation of it's airspace without any agreement. It's just the corrupt government doesn't release it officially. The drones fly and are maintained at Pakistani airbases. 80% of all Afghan supplies travel from Karachi through N-5 to Peshawar. It's all part of the agreement. It's not like the USA comes in, bombs Quetta, Peshawar or Islamabad at their choice and runs away while our jets scramble to counter Indian incursions on the east side? That's just plain stupid.

I don't see why we cannot give USA an airbase? Give the airbase and then negotiate something in return, like power plants, education money, health etc.

This would be the true definition of allies helping each other. What's the harm in giving the airbase? They already use the Jacobabad airbase, not to mention the tons of HMMWWs that pass on the N-5 every day, if you don't believe me travel on N-5 from Karachi to Lahore.

Americans operate these UCAV's and use them to hunt down terrorists on your soil.

But then you have civilian casualties as a result of foreign nations operating weapons systems on your soil.

Its just fully equipped maintenance base with high tech workshops. May be it going to be NATO storage base. But major function of this base is, to maintained Pakistani army US made helicopters and other equipment .

Haider if its for keeping Pakistani army helis then why US is demanding it ?? I mean if its requirement of Pakistani army aviation then army should be having base for it why would US demand.

I have been saying as well as many other members for basing Cobras in Peshawar keeping in view the recent operations against terrorists

If USA wants it bad.. It will get it.. It has always been difficult for Pakistan to say no to the US. The bunch of goodies on offer will be too good to resist... The downside however is: Good Bye China...
