I am especially exited about the first proposal as it is intended as a super VC fund enabling support to small and medium enterprises all across India to scale and develop their businesses.

US President Barack Obama assures PM Modi that he will look into India's concerns on the H-1B visa issue as part of his comprehensive immigration reform.

More good news!

H1 is a problem for IT workforce, my application got rejected already once because of stupid lottery system.

(Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday announced $4 billion in government-backed investments and lending to India, as he sought to scale up a trade relationship he said was "defined by so much untapped potential".

1) At a CEO summit hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, Obama said that U.S. Export-Import Bank would finance $1 billion in exports of 'Made-in-America' products.

2) The Overseas Private Investment Corporation will lend $1 billion to small- and medium-sized enterprises in underserved rural areas of India.

3) Another $2 billion will be committed by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency for renewable energy, Obama said in a speech.

I wonder what those "made in America" products in point 1 would be?

This is chicken feed considering the size of India. I really don't understand why my fellow Indians whoop it up if Barrack burps. There is a very very long way to go before US India relations can be described as "strategic". Those changes can ONLY come from India following through with systemic changes on freeing up the economy, getting rid of 80% of the crud that constitutes Indian laws, discarding nationalistic jingoism for real work and effort.
