And more over to get more investment we should have very credible chips of diplomacy . Which is called Weapons. To give psychological confident.

Good for India and US both ....

But I feel US has lots to gain than India .

We haven't fell bro, if you see the developments of the ongoing visit all agreements were mutually beneficial - nuclear deal, clean energy, investment etc, nothing of sorts of allowing military bases which was rumored earlier even made it to the discussion table, so it's a win win

This is chicken feed considering the size of India. I really don't understand why my fellow Indians whoop it up if Barrack burps. There is a very very long way to go before US India relations can be described as "strategic". Those changes can ONLY come from India following through with systemic changes on freeing up the economy, getting rid of 80% of the crud that constitutes Indian laws, discarding nationalistic jingoism for real work and effort.

Never forget Congress had the best opportunity to engage the US. They did not. In fact, they squandered that opportunity because instead of being concerned about our national security and future, they were too busy looting India left and right.


I agree $4billion is peanuts but its a step in the right direction. Consider our relations with the US prior to this visit? It was dismal...why? Congress went nuts for an Indian diplomat who recently has been revealed as abusing her position and authority.


Congress has done nothing for India for the past 50 yrs. At least, when Modi mentions the need to change laws....I actually believe he is capable.

Both are now very different countries and how they protect and serve their national interest is stark.

India is trading with the US, this is not the same as what Pakistan has done in the past. Trade is not aid.
