I'll try and make it simple. If Taliban are hiding Al Q, then both Al Q and Taliban must be targetted. Because Al Q is not in Pakistan's interests. It is not in Pakistan's interest to support the Taliban now, and it will not lead to a more secure Pakistan by supporting the Taliban, because Americans will eventually get tired and bomb Pakistan, sucking it into a wider war that will end up in a mass war in Pakistan, no infrastructure. That surely is not what you want, is it?

AL-Q was hiding in afghanistan not pakistan one thing, AL-Q is not in pakistan's interest and i never said so but that doesnt make tailban the enemy simply because they were helping AL Q. It was a seperate country and this is not the first time something of this sort has happened, people who are wanted by a certain countries are hiding in other countries because that servres their purpose. Pakistan was not facing any kind of threat unlike now. Now if you compare tailban with today's government, i'm sure you must be very clear who was in real favour of pakistan, tailban or karzai. Americans well eventually get tired, well they already are no matter what we do and even after doing so much, did they not threat to bomb pakistan, we lost more then 1000 soilders in this battle, yet they link our aid with the amount of military action that we take.

You have serious narrowed vision. There was no Al Q in Pakistan prior to 2001. Since the American invasion which occurred during Musharraf's rule, Al Q dispersed, some of the them going into Pakistan. That is why suicide bombings have increased since Musharraf's take over. If Musharraf did not do what Al Q wanted, they would have suicide bombed Pakistan anyway. As it turned out, Musharraf tried to eliminate them, just as they are trying to eliminate Pakistanis. So why justify the approach of Al Q in this case by blaming something on Musharraf for which he had no power over?

Narrow minded or not but you have exactly proved the same thing i was trying to point out. Al Q was not messing with pakistan in any way, why did we messed up with them causing all of this mass mudering of pakistani citizens and PA soilders who lost their lives, what for, when we were not facing any threat why the hell did we created one for us.And as for you saying ALQ had bombed pakistanies if musharraf did no do what they wanted, first of all AL Q never gave any demand to pakistani government of any kind so there isnt any point going on speculations and IFs.

He didn't have a choice. He was either with them or against them. But it so happens that the US goal in the region to get rid of Al Q, is a common goal it has with Pakistan.

He did had a choice just like turkey. US wanted turkey to join in action against Iraq, yet they remained away from the conflict. So did they bomb turkey no. Moreover US isnt happy from what we have done so far and they might be waiting for the right time to bomb pakistan anytime, the recent comments of the senators against pakistan should be an eyeopener for us all.

If he didn't stay in power, NS would have continued or Bhutto. It doesn't really matter how it is achieved in this case, so long as the best man is at the helm. And that's the situation, so if he lied, or of he told the truth, it makes not a bit of difference to me. The best man is leading the country.

Thats not the point of him staying in the power because he was already in power long before 9/11. NS was already excilied, while BB was living in UK. And since you did mention NS and BB, you forget to mention that this best man is the one that is bringing BB back home in the name of national reconsilation. How would we rate this? As for you saying it doesnt make any difference, well it does, because we ourself are showing the whole world that only musharraf can handle the WMD and if hes not there, then no gurrantee, meaning we are actually clearing the path for the americans to bomb us anyway showing the logic that nuclear weapons are not safe. This is pathetic on his part, he could have done better.

My point is that today we are in a very unstable position. We have diverted our sources from indian boder to afghanistan, India is taking full advantage of this situation thanks to KArzai government, we are facing suecide attacks, our own people and soilders are being killed and yet we hear that India is more important to US then pakistan, with pakistan our partnership lies only combacting terrorism, terrorism according to their way of taking the word terrorism.
