This actually shows you few things -

• how close Turkey is at geo-strategic level with the west including America
• that it is now actually a western power tied into the broader west
• Erdogan is a smart cookie. His ability to flex everywhere has seen Turkey rise like a eagle in last 18 years
• there is nothing remotely Islamic about Turkey but is guided by self interest
• you could easily see Erdogan offering military help to Israel if it suits Turkey
• Erodogan is doing this simply to buy influence with his "NATO allies".
• when Erdogan said to Biden "Turkey is the ONLY reliable ally you do know that was a slap on Pakistan's face".
• given the Afghan context his statement was hardly using Iran as referance
• at least this should debunk the ummah lovers
• Turkey is offering to be American and Western contractor in Afghanistan - a position that will place it directly in opposition to Taliban
• why would Taliban fight and die for 20 years against Americans in Afghanistan only for them to leave behind their stooges in form of NATO Turkish Army?

This is not good and I just hope Erdogan is using this as a negotiating chip with Biden just before the meeting.

To me, it's more to do with Turkey applying pressure on India through Kashmir as India attempts to get close to Greece and meddle in the Mediterranean affairs.

They'll use the Afghan excuse and acquire a footprint in friendly Pakistan.

If Turkey thinks it can stay on in Afghanistan as a NATO member and supporting ghani regime then they are about to wake up to a harsh reality. The pashtuns have been historically fighting turks and dont see them the way Pakistan does. They see the turks as invaders and been defeated many times by pashtuns. So should be careful not to raise historical sensitivities.
The only way for Turkey to stay in Afghanistan is if they take permission from taliban. It will also be beneficial for future relations.

If this is true, then the United States will give Turkey a chance to spoil the outcome of this game, which will not be acceptable to Pakistan and Taliban at all.
In this way, the United States will be able to hunt many with one arrow. Therefore, Turkey should stay away from this heinous game.

I’d really like to see Turkey work with the future Taliban government to rebuild this broken country, building its infrastructure, schools , roads etc . and maybe , even train Taliban like they did in Somalia into a national army? Turkey makes large types of weapons itself easy to equip Taliban army. it’s not in Pakistan interest to have Taliban think like Saudi or gulf one track mind they will bring trouble again to us.
