The military generals at the GHQ in Rawalpindi will most likely face sleepless months ahead as a historic bill will be introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives calling upon Pakistan to recognize the right of self-determination for Balochistan.

Some U.S. legislators and their staff were busy working on a resolution Thursday to be tabled in the U.S. parliament with the aim to end Pakistan's genocidal politics in Balochistan.

"It will be something much, much bigger in scope than what happened at the hearing of the Oversight and Investigations Committee," a congressional staffer told this correspondent.

Islamabad was stunned at the hat trick by Baloch politicians when the issue of Balochistan was discussed by the Oversight and Investigations Committee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on February 8.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, who is chair of the sub-committee, and four other U.S. congressmen Louie Gohmert, Ted Poe, Brad Sherman and Russ Carnahan blasted Pakistan over the human rights violations in Balochistan and called for the right to self-determination for Balochistan at the February 8 hearing.

The hearing enjoyed massive public support in Balochistan.

All the major stakeholders in Balochistan including "Baloch Nelson Mandela" Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Hyrbyair Marri, and Dr. Jumma Marri, among others, welcomed the hearing on Balochistan at the U.S. Congress.

Pakistan ambassador to the U.S. Sherry Rahman, Pakistani Senator Mian Raza Rabbani and leader of the opposition in Pakistan national assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, castigated the U.S. for interfering in the" internal affairs" of Pakistan.

A cacophony of chorus against the U.S. hearting has started. Pakistan's national assembly unanimously adopted a resolution against the hearing on a resolution moved by Chaidhry Nisar Ali Khan, who has military links.

It is extremely rare that a resolution tabled by a leader of the opposition gets unanimosuly adopted -- a pointer that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence was behind it.

However, to most Baloch what matters most is the two houses of Balochistan’s traditional parliament, Diwan-i-Aam and Diwan-i-Khas had unanimously rejected the idea of a merger with Pakistan in 1947.

The drive for historic justice for Balochistan steamed up in Berlin when a group of U.S. legislators called upon the De Jure Ruler of Balochistan, the Right Honorable Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Daud Ahmadzai -- reverentially called "Khan Sahib" by the Baloch people -- on the sidelines of a conference of Afghanistan’s Northern Alliance.

The Khan of Kalat enjoys the same status of respect late King Zahir Shah enjoyed in Afghanistan. In fact, the two families are related.

Balochistan, in the words of the "Uncle of Baloch" Selig S. Harrison, director at the Center for International Policy, is extremely "sexy" in terms of its geostrategic location as its coastline forms the upper lip of the vital sea lane called the Straits of Hormuz.

The British left Balochistan divided in three parts. The part under Pakistani military occupation is the size of New Mexico, the part under Iranian occupation is the size of Nevada and the part with Afghanistan is the size of West Virginia.

Iran forcibly occupied Balochistan after a revolt was brutally crushed there in 1929 while Pakistan invaded and annexed Balochistan on March 27, 1948. The Baloch have risen up in arms against the Pakistani occupation and the struggle for independence continues there to this day.

Pakistani media closely linked with I.S.I. were nervous over the spate of developments on Balochistan in Washington DC and were claiming that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency has embarked on a Southern Sudan-style split of Balochistan from Pakistan.

Both Pakistan and Iran are equally concerned.

They are smarter than you think

Well, when a small player tries to play in the league of big players, this is what happens. Sad.
What sort of effects can it have my dear ? :azn: ... Best of luck trying to get it past UNSC

nobody will lose any sleep except the enemies of Pakistan, who continue to predict our collapse --only to be proven as idiots who are in need of more accurate astrologists

Balochistan is, was, and always will be an integral part of Pakistan.

the enemies of Pakistan and its unity will burn and face hell if they continue to meddle in our affairs.....

This bill is however.. from a very small section of the US representatives.
The state dept has disowned it.
What it does represent however.. is a clear and stark warning to the establishment of Pakistan to back off and get its house in order. The Civilian government is inept as it is.. but other political leadership must realize that the time to fix this wound is now before someone decides to actually amputate it.

Bull **** ! Notice the twisting of words for Afghanistan ... I have posted the rebuttal about the forcible merger of Baluchistan before ... I will get that post ...

Some excerpts. The whole article, "THE ACCESSION OF KALAT: MYTH AND REALITY" is well worth the reading:

A series of meetings between the Viceroy, as the Crown’s Representative, the Quaid and the Khan of Kalat followed, which resulted in a communiquéй on August 11, 1947. The communiquй stated that:

a. The Government of Pakistan recognizes Kalat as an independent sovereign state in treaty relations with the British Government with a status different from that of Indian States.

b. Legal opinion will be sought as to whether or not agreements of leases will be inherited by the Pakistan Government.

c. Meanwhile, a Standstill Agreement has been made between Pakistan and Kalat.

d. Discussions will take place between Pakistan and Kalat at Karachi at an early date with a view to reaching decisions on Defence, External Affairs and Communications.

...

On March 18, 1948, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan issued a press note that the States of Kharan, Las Bela and Mekran had applied for accession to Pakistan, which was granted to them. The press report also said that after the accession of these three states to Pakistan, Kalat’s territory had been reduced to half of its previous area, and had ceased to have any outlet to the sea. The UK High Commissioner in Pakistan reported that the offer of accession was accepted by the Pakistan Cabinet when Jam of Las Bela, Chief of Kharan and Nawab Bai Khan of Mekran met the Quaid on March 17, 1948 and told him that “if Pakistan was not prepared to accept their offers of accession immediately, they would be compelled to take other steps for their protection against Khan of Kalat’s aggressive actions.”55 This was seen as a blow to the Khan as head of the Confederacy, the Baluchistan States Union.

...
As this account makes amply clear, the story of the accession of Kalat was a long drawn out process. And although Pakistan came into being on August 14, 1947, the accession of Kalat did not take place till March 27, 1948. The three feudatories, two of which Las Bela and Kharan, which were recognized by the British as independent, played a key role in forcing the Khan of Kalat to accede to Pakistan.

The issue of the accession of Kalat has been clouded in controversy and mythology, because little or no research has been done on the subject. One scholar has described the annexation as, “a nine month tug of war that came to a climax in the forcible annexation of Kalat.”60 The reality is quite different. Khan of Kalat had no choice but to accede after Kharan, Las Bela and Mekran’s acceded to Pakistan, cutting off Kalat from the sea. The announcement on All India Radio that Kalat had been negotiating with India, which Nehru was at pains to deny in the Indian Parliament, caused such an outcry within Baluchistan and outside that the Khan acceded immediately to Pakistan.

The Baluchistan States Union existed between 3 October 1952 and 14 October 1955 in southwest Pakistan. It was formed by the states of Kalat, Kharan, Las Bela and Makran with the capital at the town of Kalat. The area of the Union was roughly the western half of the modern province of Balochistan.

Is it enough or shall i post some other links confirming that the accession to Pakistan was indeed legal and there wasn't any Baluch uprising against the state of Pakistan ? :azn:

Time for large scale relocation of Pakistanis and Biharis from Bangladesh to Baluchistan.

Problem resolved. This is not East Pakistan.

Baluchistan is flanked by iran and Afghanistan and Pakistan.

They can demand all they want, these three countries will not allow the renegades to go anywhere.

Balochistan has much more chance of becoming the new 'Kurdistan' as compared to East Pakistan.

U.S. has also been crying over human rights on Tibet for ages, and also passed a bill.

US bill on Tibet confuses facts -- china.org.cn

It doesn't change the fact that Tibet will always stay part of China. This will give more of a reason for Pakistani military and Pakistani politicians to distrust U.S. intentions, and will be a win for extremists and anti-american massive population in Pakistan.

80% of those faggots cant even point out where Balochistan Province is on a map.....vested interests only

and if the Pakistan Mission had any dignity, it would recall Ambassador Rehman back to Islamabad for ''consultations'''

even if its a tiny section of US government, it's unacceptable. Any move to meddle with our borders will be an act of WAR against Pakistan, and the Americans should be warned in advance about this.

when will our government grow a pair of balls and stop taking these things so lightly?

This is done to put pressure on pakistan and the tiny support for the bill will increase in case of pakistan refuses to accept conditions
