North south corridor for who and what purpose? Trade? Who is the supplier and who is ths consumer? You think India being a third world poor country can mimic Chinese envisaged CPEC? Chinese are manufacturers of the underwear you might be using to the smart phones and everyday appliances. They are export driven market. Hence the reason for CPEC. The only purpose of Charbahar is to sustain Indian presence in Afghanistan for sustaining terrorism against Pakistan. Nothing more, nothing less.

This idea was conceived and worked upon long before CPEC was ever thought. LOL

Your hatred towards India can be understood. But please don't try to embarrass yourself before studying the facts,unlike CPEC which is something that is still in early stages of progress, the trial run has already completed in 2014.

You guys been asking how Pakistan can stop indian vessels from entering in EEZ, Solution are simple you might be doing drug/arms trade with Afghanistan, in that case we have to check every inch of every vessel. you know what happens when a cargo is checked for drugs or arms. Nothing left of it There might be possibilities you might be setting up mines to damage Pakistani vessels or you might be dropping militants in our water to destabilize balochistan as it is clear from you PM speech that he support insurgency in Balochistan. There might be possibility we could do some routine navy drill which won't allow you to enter EEZ . So at the end of the day if we want we can make it a headache for India to enter in our EEZ

FYI Indian merchant vessels are currently operating through this same EEZ for Mumbai and Gujarat ports to the strait of hormuz and beyond and Bandar Abbas Port of Iran. And if your navy could never do anything about that for decades, there are not gonna do anything in future as well. They simply don't have the balls for that. LOL

We can also convince Iran that india planning to unite baloch from both sides, in that case they might fear insurgency in their own area. so possibilities are limitless

There is another option, If India offer to help carve out a greater Afghanistan and a greater Sistan out of Baluchistan, I guess that won't be a bad offer, how if that ?? LOL

We have many things to import and export, given the fact that over 90% of the cargo flow through sea route, we can drastically cut cost of reaching central Asia and Europe, which right now moves through Suez. Why is that not enough for a country ??

Moreover the time of shipment will also be reduced dynamically since the chunk of the transport will be over land once it reaches Iran. And you know the volume of our trade with Russia and EU ?? It is more than 5 time Pakistan does with them. What more do you want to know ??? LOL

Iran already faced with US and west backed terrorist and terror plots. if Iran is fool enough to allow indians as proxy of US & Israel through Chabahar and fuel terrorism in Sistan Baluchistan and elsewhere in Iran then it is their choice. Pakistan just has to reminding Iranians not to whine.

And if Russians are under illusion that US will not use india as proxy to disrupt Russia - Azarbijan - Iran corridor then they will be sore loser.

NSTC is another reason for investment in Iran...... Iran is going to be benefited a lot in this, and their significance is also going to gain, If NSTC get materialised the RoI is going to be better for GoI, both economically and strategically..... It is cheaper to take load by ships than by train also. We will bypass you. That is already in works with review of the Inland transport policy which now allows Hyundai cars to be shipped by sea from chennai to Gujarat ... it is cheaper this way, proven and implemented.

Pakistan, my dear, is betting solely on CPEC, and played wrong. Should have been more accommodative, now they willbe bypassed in this.

Chabahar pot can't take the load of massive trade. So at the end of the day gawadar port and even karachi port will have to jump in to off load the containers. This route is not just about India using it, Trade will be done from europe & Eurasian countires with Africa & asean countries as well. So get the bigger picture.

Not having an opinion is a stance! Like apolitical nature, which itself is a political posture.

For us, Russia is being humored on commercial-defence-political fronts, being looked after. For Pakistan, Indian policy remains of prudence, incremental cost escalation below threshold. We can not afford a broken Pakistan on our borders, (or can we?), as it puts us at forefront of fighting the nutties. But the way things are going, Pakistani society is paying a heavy price of their own policies and they have more nut jobs than sane people, with PA having some suspect elements inside too.

Lets see. The political costs will remain high, the economic costs are being scaled up now. They will see a greater deployment of forces for longer periods of time and they will have themselves only to blame for it.

China moved too quickly. A decade down, they could have done this. After CPEC was firmed up. They made another mistake in not formalising the AGPL with India, something which made Indians weary and deprived them of an Indian backing in the long run. In their act of playing leverage, they screwed their own interests.

This was the best time to avoid putting India into US camp. Economy is a matter of leverage at the end of the day, the greater number of countries can always pull an economy of a solitary nation down, whatever the bravado the latter can put up.

One need not put up trade barriers, one can simply pull down the demand and market. Stupid on their part.

Go through "Treaty Relations Of The PRC: A Study of Compliance" by Luke T Lee. It gives an interesting insight of Chinese mind and thoughts on treaties.
