The wild elephant nicknamed “Osama bin Laden” that has been terrorizing villagers in eastern India for the last two months was finally shot dead. Osama is blamed to have killed at least 11 people and injured dozens of others.
The villagers named the elephant “Osama bin Laden” after it had terrorized them for the past two months. It eluded capture until today, when forest officials and a police team tracked it down and shot it dead in the eastern state of Jharkhand on Friday.
Ravi Ranjan, a senior government, official told Reuters: "Yes, Osama has finally been killed and it took us 20 bullets to silence him."

Hundreds of villagers flocked to see the dead “Osama."

Forest officials killed another elephant on Thursday near a village in the northern part of India. The elephant had killed at least seven people and injured 24 before it was shot dead.

According to Srikant Chandola, chief wildlife officer for the Jim Corbett National Park, the female elephant entered the village of Bhudaheda and destroyed crops. The villagers tried to scare it away by beating drums, but it turned deadly when the elephant began to trample the villagers, killing seven people.

Belinda Wright, director of the Wildlife Protection Society of India, said the elephant had apparently entered the village after becoming separated from its herd.

India has it's own problems, little old Pakistan is hardly the source of Khalistan related issues, or Tamil Tigers operating in India, and neither do we fund the RSS nor condone it's actions against minorities in India.

Ten killed in US missile attack in Pakistan-Pakistan-World-The Times of India

ISLAMABAD: At least 10 people were killed on Friday in a missile attack by a US aircraft in the northwestern Pakistani region of North Waziristan, a haven for al-Qaida and Taliban militants, a security official said. ( Watch )

The strike, near the town of Miranshah, was the first since a recent surge in tension between Pakistan and the United States over how to tackle the Taliban and al-Qaida along the border with Afghanistan.

"Yes, missiles have been fired. We have reports that more than 10 people were killed," a security official said.

Residents said two missiles were fired at a former government school where militants and their families were living in Tool Kheil village, 5 km (3 miles) east of Miranshah.

An intensifying insurgency in Afghanistan has compounded pressure on Pakistan to go after militants operating from remote enclaves on its side of the border. It has also led to an increase in missile attacks by US drone aircraft, with about a dozen strikes this year killing scores of suspected militants and civilians.

But in addition to missile strikes, helicopter-borne US commandos carried out a bloody ground assault in Pakistan's South Waziristan last week, the first known incursion into Pakistan by US troops since the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan. Pakistan condemned the raid.

The US military said on Wednesday it was not winning in Afghanistan and would revise its strategy to combat militant havens in Pakistan. But Pakistani army chief General Ashfaq Kayani said in a strongly worded statement Pakistan would not allow foreign troops onto its soil.

Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity would be defended at all cost, he said, while dismissing speculation of a secret deal allowing US forces to cross the border.

Kayani said there were no quick fixes to a highly complex militant problem and political reconciliation efforts were also needed.

The New York Times reported on Thursday that President George W. Bush had secretly approved orders in July that for the first time allowed US special forces to carry out ground assaults inside Pakistan without the approval of the Pakistani government. U.S. officials declined to comment on the report and Pakistan's US ambassador Husain Haqqani said that Bush had not issued new orders.

Thats Osama Hunting US Style

pakistani government are such wimps i wish they'd grow some balls and hit back bomb or launch missile attacks U.S positions in a-stan and tell them it was "friendly fire" while attacking taliban near the border

Delhi ? We don't let terrorists be alive after they cross the border.

Yes then the Kashmir rebellion must be 100% domestic and India must have no reason to blame Pakistan for it. After all a bunch of "dead" terrorists cant hardly be any good at creating unrest !
