South Korea and Germany (understandable) have the most unneeded US soldiers.

Ok South Korea i think needs the US soldiers because of North Korea but still are you sure about Germany ??? 50000 ???

Those 50 000 were kept during cold war in case of soviet attack into western europe.

I think they r still there coz of rising russian power. USA still doesnt trust russia

Or it might be related to some contract signed after WW2 that US will have that percent of soldiers to protect Germany from internal and external threats.

We too have some American bases in Pakistan. I don't know how long we wil continue to host the Americans, it might piss off China if we keep them for too long.
