US apology needed to open Nato supply routes or close forever: Khar

Asking is long over now it is like requesting.

.
face saving for what, did i miss some big news on this issue
Nato is 100 times welcomed to use Northern routes, Pakistan has never said anything about it, use any route you want. From day one we are asking for apology to open route US says they wont, and thats what it is

and the route stays closed

The flip flop. First lets put these things behind and move on was what the GoP was saying. Now GoP realised that NATO is not going to give the money asked, but, use alternative routes. Hence, the current stance to play to the local gallery. The elections are going to come soon. Nothing wrong in it. Its pure politics and posturing.

Cheers!

SORRY for fighting the war for you guys, now open up!

.
Hypocritical she is indeed.
First telling us Pakistanis to "move on".
Now hanging on to this apology.

Really, I spit on her and this government.

The routes they will never be opened now, you have been fuelling the war against Pakistan but today you stand defeated, you can lick your wounds as you retreat through ex-Soviet territory paying six times more for your home coming.. Disgraced and Defeated

SORRY for fighting the war for you guys, now open up!

Rather we apologize for bearing your war, for starting the fight for you against our good judgment, for bringing your fight to our country, for loosing 40,000 Pakistanis for your cause, for ruining what was left of our economy for your cause, for never being acknowledged for it, for being blamed for your inadequacies, for being killed by your drones, for you never catering to our concerns, for you letting your new pet run amok in Afghanistan, for you letting it play around in Balochistan and if that's not enough then we also apologize for loosing those 2 dozen good men to your deliberate fire. Now please do carry on with the new route, Im sure your amply happy with it.... at least the Indians are.

Just like respect, demanding an apology is self-defeating in itself.

Its merely saving face as one bows to the inevitable.

The world may be polarized on Iran today. But if there is one thing that is shared, it is the respect they won when they shot down the American drone.

No whining. No moralizing. No jalsas. No hai hais. No burning flags. No rock shows. No UN demonstrations. No extracting pounds of flesh over the flesh of compatriots.

Just shoot it down.

And let the US decide how to respond.

Hardly. Apparently the apparent difference between a political apology and the proverbial apology is not so apparent. The aforementioned is anything but apologetic. It is a suitable and respectable fee for resolving political animosity or deadlocks when there is no other. Only an idiot would think that it would sprout from shame, sorrow or morals. It is demanded of countries by countries when there is little room or better sense for a confrontation. And it is always demanded or are you childish enough to go looking for morals and ethics in the international political arena? Worlds apart from your sister stealing your cookie my friend.

"Just shoot it down.

And let X decide how to respond."

Heard this before....If only it was that easy. Wouldn't you agree? *Refer to the 2008 incidents*.

While we are at it, we have not yet received an apology from the Queen herself.

One would think that after the Irish, it would be our turn.

Apparently not.

Nor have we received one for your nonsensical posts here. Surely an apology is well deserved for the childish garbage you and your countrymen throw around this forum. No?

The same way PAK told india to move on Mumbai attacks or any other major attack. Like this US also told PAK to move on. What a irony is that the same line is now pitching PAK

.
Now they are crying when the bus left the stop... yuck foreign policy, and with this anger more drones will attack Pakistani terrorist, now they do not even have the leverage.

India hasn't moved on, neither will Pakistan, so your point is moot

Launch more Drones but it's not going to get the supply routes magically opened

Now they will not care whether you open the routes or not, that opportunity is wasted. They have opened up other supply routes..

Good, the US needs to stop asking then; and Pakistani officials need to stop bringing the issue back up (in an attempt to look like they are "standing" up for the country)

Well cannot be helped now as I said, the opportunity is lost, Just yesterday I heard of another drone attack.. sad

If you guys watch today's Najam Saiti show, he said that Pakistan is playing its own game. According to him, the apology is basically something the U.S will never say because of the fact that no Drone attacks and cross border killings could ever happen again under U.N's act of aggression laws....
