Maleeha Lodhi is an Iron lady, really impressed by her. I remember giving shut up call to india not long ago at UNSC and now US. However I completely understand that this is Pakistan's foreign policy now and not her personal POV. Having said that she has been able to present things extremely well at international forums esp in the domain of united nations. I think Pakistan has given up that policy of taking lectures, and has now changed approach to "attack is the best defensive".

Oh dear , Pakistan's relation with US is going downhill , time to plan ahead for sanctions, interference, financial instability , war with India and Afghanistan and being pushed into the axis of evil. Or we can through in heavy weight diplomats and solve this issue before it gets worse.

a) Taliban led Government of Kabul was not Recognized by anyone except Pakistan, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. It was called Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan that formed in 1996 Defeating other factions of Mujahideen

b) There was no such movement named Afghan taliban during Soviet Afghan War There were many groups of Afghan Mujahideen including Jamiat e Islami of Burhanuddin Rabani, Hizb e Islami Led by Gulbadin Hikmatyaar, Shura e Nazar led by Ahmad Shah Masood and so on.

c) Taliban were formed by Mullah Omer in Kandghar in 1994 neither is their any solid evidence of Mullah omer being a major Commander in War against Soviet Union in 80s. The Afghan Mujahideen failed to capture Kabul after Soviets Left in 1992. And Mujahideen Factions were Fighting each other as well as the Communist government of Najibullah and amounf this infighting rose the Taliban who Captured Kabul in 1996 and Brutally Shot President Najibullah in the head and hanged his body with a truck and rode his body on streets of Kabul.

d) These are not Taliban meeting Ronald Reagen. these are the Afghan Mujahideen Representatives from Afghansitan in 1983

e) Except Gulbadin Hikmatyaar and Jalaludin Haqqani Groups nobody opposed US Invasion due to the infighting amoung these groups for power of Afghanistan during 90s. The people you see in Current Day afghan Government are all Afghan Jihad Commanders (Except Reshid Dostom and a few others) and its a political game of interests of powers. Nothing more nothing less

Brother pass this Truth to everyone you meet in Pakistan. No metter which side we support in a conflict. We should always talk with facts and truth. instead of blindly following propagandas of Groups having vested Interests. I war there is no right or wrong. there are sides.
