This is really short sighted statement at best. If Pakistan hadn't cooperated USA, then Pakistan would have been economically isolated and met the same fate as North Korea. In addition, no remittance from North America, Europe and Middle East to Pakistan as well.

In the long run, Pakistan made the right decision to support USA at that time which allowed Pakistan to regroup and prepared for the future challenge.

But Imran Khan has been known to short sighted, and his blind love for Afghanistan knows no bound, hence his pro-stances on TTP for years despite caught killing the children, women and people up to 50,000 and more.

Not $350m but $50 million. Pakistan received $300 million and US stopped $50m. There is no way Pakistan will allow them to use our roads which are build with billions and billions of dollars for free. US knows this very well and since they are not leaving Afghanistan, they will continue to need Pakistan and keep paying.

Pakistan should have co operated by giving access like every their country did in region not unlike what everyone else didnot do, i.e give armed men to fight war and violate its citizens rights

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday called on parliament to convene a special session in the wake of Donald Trump’s threats against Pakistan.

Speaking at a press conference, he urged Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to give a strong reaction to the US president who threatened to cut Pakistan’s aids and held Islamabad responsible for US failures in Afghanistan.

Imran Khan said US aid was nothing compared to the losses Pakistan suffered while waging a war for US.

He said he had opposed Pakistan’s decision to join the US war after the 9/11 attacks. “Pakistan took part in the war despite no Pakistani was involved in 9/11 attacks,” he said.

“Pakistan had no reason to take part in that war. It was not our war. We sent our army to Waziristan at the behest of US . He said 70,000 Pakistanis were killed and many other injured in the war .

“We shouldn’t forget what destruction tribal areas have suffered. There are still IDPS. Our Army also rendered sacrifices . Our generals were martyred”

He said the US was giving India, which was involved in carrying out terrorist attacks through TTP in Pakistan, a vital role in Afghanistan.

The PTI chairman said the civilians and army was on the same page and warned the US against sending its troops in hot pursuit inside Pakistan.

He condemned the US president's criticism of Pakistan and his praise for India. "He is using the same language against Pakistan Army which India always does. Entire nation should condemn (his remarks). What kind of man is this? I had said Pakistan should not become part of this war.

He said the NATO couldn't overcome the situation in Afghanistan despite deploying 150,000 troops and having surveillance capabilities on its disposal. "Is it also Pakistan's fault?," said he.

"Pakistan's security could be in jeopardy. We helped you (US) despite we need not to. Incidents like APS happened here.

Imran Khan's pro-stance on TTP did kill more than 50,000 and more. According to the report, it is up 100,000 as calculated.

Operation costs money, and good thing that USA foreign policy aligned with Pakistan foreign policy given the fact Terrorist-outfit aka TTP was Indian-funded trained in Afghanistan with Afghan intels as confessed by both Ajit Doval, in-charge of Indian NSA, and Afghan Intel.

Sooner or later, Pakistan was bound to launch operation against Indian-funded terrorist-outfit aka TTP. But with USA on board, that made Pakistan job much easier for the time begin until USA is out of picture which puts Pakistan army on the backseat under the authority of General Kiyani which at the time public was enraged at. Then the public leaned towards Imran Khan's pro-stance on TTP despite of being caught killing the children, women and people amounting up to 100,000 now - never mind the fact that TTP was purposely violating peace treaty and as usual rewarded the trust with the bloods of the children, women and people.

Good thing public learned from its mistake and had a change of heart favoring military operation against Indian-funded Terrorist-outfit aka TTP through the consensus, hence Zarb-e-Az. That has expanded all the way to Karachi to take care of MQM as well.
