Drones
United States has expressed its willingness to hold bilateral talks with Pakistan for reviewing its policy on drone attacks. These talks would be held on July 29, according to diplomatic officials.

Furthermore, the officials said that it would be difficult to improve the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the US if the drone attacks were not stopped. The two countries would discuss alternative measures to drone attacks.

Moreover, Pakistani officials reiterated their demand for obtaining drone technology from the US.

Demand drone technology? Demand? That "demand" will not go anywhere. Why would USA give us its drone technology?

I think it will, or at-least on "paper" it will. The government will play it like this:

1. You say that you gave "us" the drone technology and you continue as you wish.
2. US says: yes of-course.

Now the thing here is "us" in point #1 isn't us. It's the U.S.

Awam khush that now we are killing the "terrorists". This way US gets to land the drones on our airbases, saves them the time. We fuel them, they fly them and have all the more fun.

I don't trust one thing they say.... or what our "government" says....

Seems more likely to be a gimmick for both the American govt and PML(N).

Its not just the drone that is on the list. The weapon it fires the Hellfire will not be given to pakistan. Not for another 5 years atleast. So its just going to be the same old drama going to be repeated.

•Another Pew Research Center survey released on Thursday focusing on drone strikes indicates that American strikes abroad, particularly in Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia are supported in just 3 of the 39 countries surveyed: Kenya, the United States and Israel.[2]
