During his India visit last week Frank Kendall

U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics , spoke about exploring potential cooperation on Jet Engine technology and aircraft carrier technology.

Kendall also spoke about DTTI-Defense Technology and Trade Initiative.

DTTI will now be a single-window point for all Indo-US defence matters, with compact teams working on both sides to ensure its smooth functioning.

DTTI Progress

"Creating high tech military/defense sector industries requires time and tenacity, not a sudden leap.
We have a good base to build on.
Since 2008, over $9 billion in defense contracts have been signed between the United States and India.
Today, we are focused on pursuing four pathfinder projects and supporting two cooperative activities that have been announced by the Ministry of External Affairs.

These include:

o An industry mini-UAV initiative

o An industry proposal Roll-on/Roll-off mission modules for C-130 and other aircraft

o Government to government cooperation on Mobile Electric Hybrid Power Sources

o Government to government Uniform Integrated Protection Ensemble Increment

DTTI provides a critical framework to rapidly build confidence and trust

o fortifying an enduring partnership in military modernization, technology and manufacturing.
o This in itself will create significant positive bi-lateral momentum.
For the United States this is more than intent – this is a commitment to our shared future."

I always fear the future when uncle SAM is providing you with so much of help........ I always see the results of our neighbour.

Please please please be very careful while dealing with them.

The thing is, this Its not all bad, look at south Korea, Japan or Germany all had help from US, yet today they have an strong economy and great technological base, the problem with our neighbor is they didn't have a strong enough government and played double games which resulted in the mess they are in today.

He was not drunk, right?

US hasnt shared this technology with its closest allies but will do with India! Amazing.
