Shall I begin with the errors in the lyrics?
Just the more nagging few:
- I agree the refrain wouldn't rhyme otherwise but should grammatical integrity be compromised when saying watn-e 3aziizaa.n instead of watn-e 3aziiz? Even if you're talking about more than one countries it becomes or even awtaan-e 3aziiz not or even awtaan-e 3aziizaa.n.
- What is this alien word chhaaya doing in there? I looked up and it means shade in Hindi. Without changing the meter they could've used the proper Urdu word saaya.
- fIrangi? Is this a créolic adaptation of the word fArangii? I know and have heard Indians say firangii and it annoys me each time because by doing this you lose the whole context of the word. Please understand that it comes from the Persian word farhang meaning foreign.
- Get your kh right or you don't deserve to be publishing your voice. Period.
OK enough rants. Somebody created art in a dead language, my language, and deserves applause. At the first listening I was pleasantly surprised by the use of khushinda and guftan shuniida etc. Applause.
