What exactly is wrong if the Taleban holds talks directly with anyone else? Pakistan was given multiple chances to broker this and was either unable to or unwilling to or both.

What's the point crying and complaining now? As someone has pointed out in this thread, the rest of world, even neighbors in the region including Iran, India, Bangladesh et al are making real economic and developmental progress. I hope Pakistan will ditch their failed egoist policies towards Afghanistan and focus on its own development through honest means

A few points

1.) Nobody in Pakistan or the world could give a damn about what your minister barked about that day (just hours after the Uri "attack" unfolded)

2.) There is nothing wrong with it. The Taleban have contacts in Doha, Riyadh, Beijing, Moscow, Tehran and even Greater Washington DC (read Langley Virginia)

3.) We are focusing on economic growth which is why despite a tumultuous period of 2008-2014 Pakistan has still been growing - not as fast as it should - but growing nevertheless. Your policy of butchering Kashmiris, bullying Nepal and Sri Lanka failed for you....you certainly failed to "teach Pakistan a lesson" - the international media has ridiculed india's claims of "surgical strikes" and Modis "56 inch chest"

better you focus on addressing poverty in india and the 22+ separatist/insurgency movements ongoing within your borders

The Taleban's base has historically been Kandahar which last time I checked is in Afghanistan.......the thing about you indians on this topic (which doesnt even concern you) - you confuse "contact" with "creation"

Nothing to be upset about. Taleban of Afghanistan are an Afghan phenomenon. All we do is have contact with them, we aren't their masters. If they have a plan to stabilize Afghanistan - I'm all for it.
