Modi broke down as he talked about the struggles faced by his mother.

"There are so many parents who have sacrificed their own lives to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of their children," Modi said.

"A mother will never want you to become something, she will think about how you will achieve that," he said.

Actually what happened : Mark Zuckerberg asked Modi about his mother and family...

Modi started normally. He told how he was poor and now Indian people made him as their leader. And remembered his father he said he is no more. That's the starter!

He must have recalled his father's memories who worked hard to fulfill Modi's dream but now he is not here with him to see his son becoming PM of the world's largest democracy Hindustan. Modi paused with emotions. A while for few seconds controlling his emotions. But next few memories about the hardships his mother went through dint helped the situation at all.

Then he started to recall how hard it was for him as a little kid and his mother to survive in Gujrat. During those days they used to go to all houses everyday to cook, filling water from well, bringing water from near by water bodies. Recalling the hardship his mother went through fro him PM emotionally broke down.

That's the tribute to his Mother who made what he is today. Greatest leader from India and for India. It was lifetime experience for the gatherings.

Later he said that there are many 100s and 1000s of Mothers in India who are like his mother. In India mothers sacrifices their life so their kids achieve their goals.

He saluted all mothers across the world.

He was answering Mr Zuckerberg's question on his mother's role in his life.

Sharing how he was raised in a poor family, PM Modi choked as he talked about his mother's sacrifices. "When I was young, she cleaned dishes, fetched water...," he said.

PM Modi talked about his days as a young boy selling tea at the railway station, and also said, "No one can imagine that the world's largest democracy picked a tea seller as their leader. I bow to the 1.25 crore Indians who did that."

The Prime Minister said, "If you consider any autobiography, everyone mentions their teacher and their mother...My father is no more, my mother is over 90, but still does everything. She isn't literate but keeps up with world through news on TV."

The PM's mother Hiraben, 93, lives in Ahmedabad.

Mark Zuckerberg, when he asked what would be the last question to PM Modi at the Q&A session, had said, "We have many things in common. Family is very important to us. Both my parents are here. I understand your mother is very important in your life."

PM Modi on being introduced to the young American billionaire's parents said, "I congratulate your for the son you have, he has connected the world."

But as far as I know, men who cry (not at the drop of a hat) are strong mentally.
@levina what is your take? solar here.
It's okay to cry.
It's okay to show your tears...
Strongest of strong men turn emotional at the mention of their mother, it merely reflects the special bond these men share with their mothers.
Be it Napolean/Hitler or anyone in the history who has come across as strong men have had such emotional moments.

I have noticed that Mr. Modi has very soft heart when he talks about the people he attached much. He was crying when he left parliament of Gujrat. Really he and his family has done lots of struggle in their life. That's why he has good heart.

Really good person. Look what he is been doing till today. Working hard to get as much investment back to India. Real patriotic citizen and quality leader. This emotional person will thank 1.2 billion Indians every where will do anything and everything possible to guard our motherland and will prosperity for our people.

People's Leader is the right words to describe him

But did he shed a tear after Gujrat massacre?:lol:

 better beware of his emotions. I don't think this time IA will return from Lahore or stop with little objectives :enjoy:

Very funny.
Modi is Napolean to me. :/

I was talking about strong men.
I read it somewhere that Hitler was close to his mom and so was Napolean.

All kids love their mom :)

What about all the mothers this terrorist killed, including pregnant mothers? These mothers can no longer help their living children achieve what they want. Can we reserve some sympathy for them too?

Pm modi ... Very hard wrking person.. Never herd he taking leave in 1 year.. Respect
