Update of FATF Meeting: Outcomes FATF Plenary, 21-23 February 2018

When moderator gets insecure they delete your post. All I posted was a video of Pakistani media discussing on exact this topic. It was deleted as offtopic trolling. Hilarious. This is how they plan to win the debate.

Someone else who is Indian already posted a major video of Pakistani media discussing the same thing, including Pakistan's representative who was there. What do you want this site to be, full of Youtube videos?

That is another wrong perception of this episode by Pakistan due to which you are in this situation...Pakistan has to start differentiating between some initiative by US and West and certain things by India..India is just a participant in this episode which may get benefited to some extent....But if Pakistan feels India can pull out such diplomatic stunt, then it is wrong...

US and West as usual keep on exploiting Pakistan....I am really surprised...How come ur establishment still allow nato trucks to go through ur country inspite so much of issues?

I agree, India has little to do with this, although it will support for the motion obviously.

Come on Waz are you serious? Even if the video was posted it does not harm. This happens all the time do we really remove the post. What I can see is that people are extremely touchy on this topic and calling people names for just discussing a topic. Are those post does fit to be removed?

I would like to see India be a respectable rival of Pakistan in fighting for right cause rather than an valueless rival who jumps on every sorrow of our rival, even though we do not deserve any credit for it....

I am trying to understand the term "respectable rival". Do you mean that you would pay respects to the beheaded and mutilated Indian soldiers on the border while increasing your respect for the Rival for committing such acts?

Pakistan forces cross LoC, behead two Indian soldiers

JK-CEASEFIRE

The ceasefire violation took place around 8:30 am.
JAMMU, MAY 1

Under the cover of heavy mortar fire, a Pakistani special forces team sneaked 250 metres across the Line of Control (LoC) into the Poonch sector and beheaded two Indian security personnel today, officials said.

The Indian Army vowed an “appropriate” response to the “despicable act”, which significantly took place a day after Pakistan army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa visited some areas along the LoC and promised support to the Kashmiris.

The Pakistan army denied that it was involved in any attack.

Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said in Delhi that the “sacrifice (of the two killed) will not go in vain” and the Indian armed forces will react “appropriately” to the “inhuman act” of the Pakistani troops.

“This is a reprehensible and an inhuman act. Such attacks do not take place during war,” he said.

“Bodies of soldiers being mutilated is an extreme form of barbaric act. The government of India strongly condemns this act. The whole country has full faith in our armed forces which will react appropriately to the act,” Jaitley said.

The attack was carried out by the Border Action Team (BAT), which comprises the special forces, under the cover of shelling by Pakistani troops in Krishna Ghati Sector in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The army issued a statement saying that the bodies of an army soldier and a BSF head constable were mutilated but a senior army officer told PTI that they were beheaded.

The soldiers killed were Naib Subedar Paramjeet Singh of 22 Sikh Infantry and Head Constable Prem Sagar of 200th Battalion of BSF. A BSF constable Rajinder Singh was injured but is out of danger.

The BAT team had set up an ambush to target the patrol party of the Indian soldiers while the Pakistan Army engaged two Indian forward defence locations (FDL) with rockets and mortar bombs, the officials said.

“It was a pre-planned operation of the Pakistan Army.

They had pushed in BAT teams over 250 meters deep inside Indian territory and set up ambushes for a long period to carry out the attack,” a senior army official said.

“The Pakistani army posts attacked two FDL posts with rockets and mortar bombs at 0830 hours and engaged them,” the official said.

“Their target was a 7 to 8-member patrol party, which had come out of the post,” the official said.

He said as the posts were engaged, the patrol party men ran here and there.

“Two members of the patrol party, who were left behind, were attacked by the BAT team and killed. Their bodies were badly mutilated,” the official said.

“Pakistani Army carried out unprovoked rocket and mortar firing on two forward posts on the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati Sector (in Poonch district) this morning,” a defence ministry spokesman said.

“Simultaneously, a BAT (Border Action Team) action was launched on a patrol operating in between the two posts,” said a statement issued by the Northern Army Command.

“In an unsoldierly act by the Pakistani Army, the bodies of two of our soldiers in the patrol were mutilated,” the spokesman said, adding, “Such a despicable act of the Pakistan Army will be appropriately responded to.”

According to reports, at 0825 hours, Pakistani army’s 647 Mujahid Battalion targeted India’s forward post ‘Kirpan’ from its post ‘Pimple’ in Krishna Ghati sector.

It was followed by attack on another forward post in the same area.

A senior BSF officer said that at about 0830 hours, there was heavy firing from the Pakistani army posts at BSF posts at LoC in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district with rockets and automatic weapons.

“They attacked with rockets a forward BSF post (which lies) ahead of the fencing and opened heavy fire from automatic weapons. They violated the ceasefire,” the BSF officer said.

The Indian troops retaliated and the firing continued for some time intermittenly.

In Islamabad, the Pakistani army said it did not commit any ceasefire violation on LoC or a BAT action in the Krishna Ghati sector.

There have been several BAT attacks in the past in which Indian jawans have been beheaded or their bodies mutilated.

On October 28, 2016, militants attacked a post and killed an Indian Army soldier and mutilated his body close to the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machil sector.

In January 2013, Lance Naik Hemraj was killed and his body mutilated by a BAT. It had also beheaded Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh. Constable Rajinder Singh of the BSF battalion had suffered injuries in the attack.

In June 2008, a soldier of the 2/8 Gorkha Rifles lost his way and was captured by a Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) in Kel sector. His body was found beheaded after a few days.

During the 1999 Kargil conflict, Captain Saurabh Kalia was tortured by his Pakistani captors who later handed over his mutilated body to India.

In February, 2000, terrorist Ilyas Kashmiri had led a raid on the Indian Army’s ‘Ashok Listening Post’ in the Nowshera sector to kill seven Indian soldiers.

Even then, Kashmiri had taken back to Pakistan the head of a 24—year—old Indian jawan, Bhausaheb Maruti Talekar of the 17 Maratha Light Infantry.

In April this year, there were seven ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops along the LOC in Poonch and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.

India backstab again .....

LOL Shifting the blame?

Can't handle the neighborhood bully.. Come home and scream at the Big brother....

. .
Where mention in this news.......... Pakistan is in grey list
Now you has to stop crying about this news

When did anybody said Pakistan has been placed on the list immediately?? But you will be placed from June confirmed by your media and officials and also by the fact that no official denial has been issued.

.
So apparently the US struck a deal with China - giving them the vice-presidency to FATF if they pulled out of support of Pak and Saudi Arabia was offered full membership if they pulled out too. These deals were both struck at the last minute. Wow.

this could be your narrow wishes about us but this can't going to happen in real world

Has Pakistan become a liability for its International friends?

On Friday, a Washington sponsored resolution at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an international group against terrorism financing, managed to place Islamabad back on its list of countries that allegedly support terror groups. The final decision on the resolution reportedly states that the country will be back on the ‘greylist’ that places countries that finance terrorism by the end of June this year.

Only a day earlier on Thursday, a US move to put Pakistan’s name on the list of countries aiding terrorism was objected by a number of states supporting Islamabad at the forum. Initially, Islamabad’s hurried efforts to assemble international support to ensure that the resolution lacked consensus were supported by China, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. After blocking Washington’s initial push, Pakistan’s foreign office prematurely declared victory, celebrating a diplomatic triumph against countries that were lobbying against Islamabad at the forum. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister in a social media statement said that his ministry had defied efforts of the country’s enemies and thanked the international friends for helping Pakistan at the forum.

It’s nothing less than a sheer humiliation for Pakistan that China and Saudi Arabia were playing Pakistan’s card to garner their own international diplomatic support base

The whole drama which unfolded in Paris this week has not only undermined Pakistan’s international credibility further but has also reinforced the need for a radical change in Pakistan’s security and foreign policy which continue to remain a victim of a tiny elite’s wayward approach. In this regard, some key takeaways for Pakistan include the following:

First, while Islamabad says that it has done enough in terms of making efforts to curtail terrorism in the country, the world is not yet ready to recognize Pakistan’s efforts unless its so-called policy of discriminating between different militant groups changes. Unfortunately, the country’s ruling elite doesn’t consider groups that target a number of neighboring states a national security threat. The country’s current security policy not only patronizes militant groups domestically for foreign policy gains but also offers them an enabling environment in terms of spreading their Jihadist narrative in the country which is clearly a regional and international threat if not solely for Pakistan. Pakistan’s ruling elite needs to recognize that the world even the country’s so-called close allies are not going to put up with Islamabad’s ideological hang-up which only mushrooms militancy and is becoming a threat for regional states. Moreover, the ruling elite also needs to recognize that they cannot continue to keep more than 200 million people hostage for their own narrow institutional and personal political interests. It’s the need of the hour that Pakistan’s introduces pragmatism in its foreign policy which should also be reflective of the country’s security policy if Pakistan is to survive international isolation and humiliation even at the hands of its close allies.

Second, the fact that Pakistan’s so-called close allies, particularly China, Saudi Arabia and Turkey actually negotiated terms with opposing lobbying states for their own gains and benefits to give up their support for Pakistan, shows that in politics there are no permanent enemies or friends, only permanent interests. It’s nothing less than a sheer humiliation for Pakistan that China and Saudi Arabia were playing Pakistan’s card to garner their own international diplomatic support base. Moreover, the fact that China and Saudi Arabia allowed India and the United States to successfully place Pakistan on the list of countries that finance terrorism means that Islamabad has yet to take significant actions to curtail infrastructure and support bases of groups which are considered a threat regionally and internationally. It’s silly and irrational on Pakistan’s part to expect its allies support when the latter itself is not ready put its act together. China stands to gain far more because of its economic and military relations with US and India than Pakistan and expecting Beijing to come for our rescue every time we knock on their door as a liability doesn’t help the so-called ‘deeper than the ocean and higher than the Himalayas’, mutual friendship.

The whole drama which unfolded in Paris this week has not only undermined Pakistan’s international credibility further but has also reinforced the need for a radical change in Pakistan’s security and foreign policy which continue to remain a victim of a tiny elite’s wayward approach

While the world is insisting that Pakistan take decisive action in terms of introducing a policy to undermine growing presence of militant groups in Pakistan, elected governments in the country are giving millions of rupees in funding to Madrassas which are keeping Pakistan’s foreign policy a hostage to their political interests tied with so-called Islamic ideology. Moreover, just putting the leader of Jama’at-ud-Da’wah (JuD) under house arrest and expecting the international community to take it as a credible action on Pakistan’s part while the groups remain active on the ground, confirms that its Pakistan’s ruling elite which is letting the country down rather than its international friends. If Pakistan is to emerge as an economic giant and benefit strategically from the current economic revival, the country needs to act against groups which are a clear liability for Pakistan and its allies.

It’s high time that we reevaluate our outdated security and foreign policy like a rational state by keeping in mind the country’s national interests that should serve more than 200 million people rather than the tiny ruling elite which has become a liability itself.

All the best Pakistan, hope you understand voilence begets voilence.

Both Turkey and Pakistan have dumped their traditional allies in the West for Russia & China.

Liability is a very mild word. The right apt word from West's perspective is "Dangerous".

But West is clueless on how to handle Turkey and Pakistan.

Turkey controls the Bosphorus strait access to Black sea while Pakistan controls the access to Afghanistan & CARs.

West is basically stuck and is not even able to publicly acknowledge the issues as all cards are with Turkey & Pakistan.

Who gives a crap? Pakistan is going on to the FATF and all we're thinking about is waaaaah we beat the west. Pathetic mentality. But not surprising considering the state of affairs in the country.
