Out of 213 polling booths 93 announced unofficially MQM 39500. Remain 110 booths my guess MQM could get 80 thousands around. Not bad in a by election.

Come on, the Punjab Rangers is deployed outside the polling stations, your cousin should have complained to them. Lets give them some work to do except running hydrants, bakeries, marriage halls and canteens or stopping arresting the Kale Kalote people in the city.

There is no doubt MQM will win this riding. The support for MQM is declining and it is up to other political parties to prove to the Karachi electorate they can provide better representation.

Realistically speaking PTI actually never had any chance in this constituency, results shouldn't surprise anyone. In addition to the fact that this constituency is home to MQM hence inalterable vote bank, MQM organization is very strong at all levels. Latter is what PTI lacks, huge public gatherings don't win you elections, it's the organization of your party that wins you elections. If you can't mobilize your voters on election day, you're literally not contesting. PTI perhaps thought they would get a wave similar to one they got in NA-250 during 2013 general elections, hope lesson is learnt.

Because there won't be thappa mafia if the same security would have been in General Elections. It's not confusion. For the first time MQM was facing opposition and fear of fair electoral system and they were shivering. A party which used to tell people 'Don't come out we will caste your votes ourselves was going door to door asking for votes, that's why tabdeeli aa nahe rahi tabdeeli aa gayi hay and it's not PTI's tabdeeli it's Rangers! The truth is, PTI is one of the worst party on Election Day for handling it's voters. All it can do is hold jalsa and show street power. But it cannot motivate it's voter base to come out and vote them.
