why did they fire a missile with no warhead.

they perhaps wanted Pakistan to retaliate which would had forced Indian Army to reply with actual war heads. Pakistani response would had given them legtimacy as well for a re-attack.

Lets look at facts as they are.

It is not possible that the warhead was not mounted.
A weight change of 200kg, would disturb the center of gravity of the missile and would make the flight impossible.
It is not plausible that a dummy 200kg was mounted on the missile.
It is thus most plausible that the warhead was present; however it wasn't able to arm itself
and detonate.
It is one thing to compromise the missile, it is another thing to compromise the warhead.

I can safely say they really enjoyed those 48 hours... it satisfied their ego at watching paks scrambling around to find clues. They are at a stage that they dont give two hoots about being answerable.. esp. In current environment where world powers are involved in other stuff..

And definitely not miss raising it at MTCR, SCO and UN..
Meanwhile Pakistan should block indian air traffic till circumstances around the incident are not clear.

In no way should Pakistan try to answer tit for tat by throwing back a dud missile...If there are any casualties....it would hurt our case. And it doesnt take much for bollywood to cremate dummy bodies.Pakistan can take other routes to steamoff..

that's what new delhi doesn't realize. Pakistan is not convinced that it was a mistake just as much as india is not able to digest that the star missile for intercepted.

this isn't gonna end well for india, it's bad enough that india had developed a name in black market for uranium rod smuggling now they can't even control their missiles. what is the guarantee that the n number of nuclear tipped missiles that india maintains on stand by won't launch "by mistake"? the next time around may invite a full nuclear response from Pakistan since we have no way of knowing if it is a mistake or not or if it is armed or not. a phone call from india wouldn't make a difference. heck, Pakistan could've launched its own nukes stand by if we didn't have anti missile systems that shot the brahmos down. meaning, right now, the entire south asian subcontinent could've easily been smoldering pile inhabited radioactive ashes.
