Even Indus valley civilisation ie Mohenjodaro and Harrapa
all were the Earliest Hindu civilisations
We are not sure even if they had any religion and you claim they were hindus lol
JIT report is out, we might see a little demonstration of "Unity" in coming days.
United against corruption yep :pakistan:

Look who is talking lol someone who supports his govt,s land grabbing scheme
If you have to resort to an attempt to discredit me personally then that implies that my arguments have merits that you cannot counter.

An Israeli should be the last person on earth to demand action by citizens against wrong policies of their people or govt

It was a region consisting of different countries

There were empires ; not countries which changed their boundaries very frequently

In 1750 when the British started their conquest there were 500 Kings

But still all throughout History ; there has been a Civilisational THREAD
running throughout this sub continent

That is why after 1947 we INDIANS became One country so soon

That is because of Civilisational Commonalities

I was referring to his rants about 'aboriginals' and 'Gangaland' and blah blah blah. I was saying to someone who isn't from our region, we're all the same. But, obviously Gangoos (Yes, a word he invented not lying) are so much different from Pakistanis.

Got it. But if you take away the name calling and insults, to say that Pakistanis and Indians are the same people is not actually true.

The ethnic make up of India and Pakistan is only similar to a degree, but the major ethnic groups in Pakistan are tiny minorities in India.

Now I am no hyper nationalist, I don't deny the similarities between Indians and Pakistanis, but the differences are there. I consider all Punjabis as my kin, regardless of whether they are Indian hindus or sikhs. But if you say that an east bengali is similar to me? Then I would say, his culture, his language, his traditions are as alien to me as those of Europeans.

The "Indian" subcontinent, is just that. A subcontinent inhabited by different people. Some with very little in common. What irks the likes of @Kaptaan perhaps, is when East or South Indians try to claim they have more rights to Indus Valley than a Pakistani Punjabi for example who's ancestors have been here for thousands of years while those of the other fella have probably never even set foot here.

Yes that is true

Pakistan opposed the name " INDIA " for India in 1947

There is an " ANCIENT " Thread in PDF ; now closed of course

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/motivations-behind-selecting-the-name-india-in-1947.7961/

We need a New thread for discussing this Name INDIA given to INDIA

I know buddy. I've been part of this forum for 7 years, to know better.

There was a very active poster called 'Last Hope' in 2010. Who vehemently argued that 'Indian monkies are nothing like us and girls don't like them'. I happened to be dating a girl who happened to be Pakistani at that time so, to prove him wrong I uploaded a screenshot of our lovey dovey message. He got so mad he got on facebook and messaged her family members and she got in trouble because of my naivety.

I've been there, done that. Now I try not to indulge in such d!ck measuring contests but, every now and then they try to pull you back in. :P

What does being a Muslim and/or being the right kind of Muslim got to do with laws and governance of the country?

For us Indians a persons religion means zilch because secularism does not care whether you are a Jew, sunni or ahmadi! Period.

You keep yourself occupied by judging whether a person truly follows religion or not. It might matter a lot to a Pakistani.

Why you still don't understand the reason for Pakistan's weak unity? You yourself have given all the answers.
You guys are big joke because you say one thing and do opposite. You claim secular and non religious yet you kill fellow Indian Muslims because they don't consider cow as Holy which is holy for Hindu so you impose your religious beliefs on others and then shout we are not religious . You claim secular yet you never let Muslims to rent a house close to your neighbourhood. Religion has no importance for you but most of you even hesitate to marry with those who don't belong to your caste let alone different religion

I have same respect for Muslim or non Muslims Pakistani and they are equal in my eyes even when they belong to different religion.. Just because I am saying what others believe don't make me a bigot or intolerant. Next you will say that I am bigot because I am saying taslima nasreen is atheist with Muslim name because she said so . I am just stating facts why Kalam got praise and people like zakir naik got ban and why people like awasi don't get same approval from hinduvata . You need to compromise your religion to survive in India or to get approval of Hinduvata majority so you have to pretend to be liberal who believe all religion are same and who go to temple and mosqe and clebarte hindu and muslism festivals ..worship morti as well as offering prayers and eid ..confuse mixture of akabar deen ilahe lol

@Kaptaan Do you think Pakistan is a true successor of British India and hence, the name 'India'. River Indus' tributaries flow mostly in Pakistan after all?
Pakistan is a successor state of British India. However it is only but one of them. There are others. Burma/Myanmar and Bangladesh and Indian Republic. All four states are equal succesor states to British Indian Empire jointly and severally.

British India > Myanmar
>>>>>>>> Indian Republic
>>>>>>>> Pakistan >>>>> Bangladesh.

Although the name "India" in fact is derived for the region that is now Pakistan but historical circumstance has played out thay now the name belongs to Bharat so it should remain there. This sort of thing happens. We have Italy where there was Rome and Romania when there was no Rome. We have West Indians where it was the New World. We have Indonesia which is not even near Indus. So these things happen.

I am trying highlight. And it is simple, is that JUST because you have name with pedigree does not earn you any more rights over Pakistan then I could by naming myself Mohammed Ali and walk around with swagger. A name is only a name. It is the people and land that it represents is what makes it. I go back to John Senior and his two sons - David and John Junior etc etc.

Fact, you and we came into existance in 1947.

Empires, countries, tribes, non governed areas this region had it all it was anything but united and similar
I consider all Punjabis as my kin, regardless of whether they are Indian hindus or sikhs.
Boss i had an argument with an Indian of frikin Mirpur origin :D
To me my kin are my fellow citizens end of story

.
Ummah doesnot exist we have countries for a reason or else we would be a huge Muslimistan with Arabic as our national language
But we have some naïve among us who believe in this aka they are more worries whats going on in others countries than their own

Don't confuse the words, I'd die for a Pakistani Sindhi, Pushtun, Baloch, Urdu speaker over an Indian Punjabi any day.

But out of all the Indians, the Punjabis of India are the closest to me in heritage, that is if I discount the fact that there are no Awans in India and our community came from Afghanistan.

@Zibago

Also, what the hell, A Mirpuri Indian? How?

Buddy, speakers of Indo-Aryan languages make up more than about 80% population of both countries.

Food? Awadhi/Mughal food is the norm in most Indian and Pakistani households. Our daily staple daal-roti not Dhosas.

After Mughal era clothes of India/Pakistan have pretty much been the same.

But, you can continue to argue that we're totally different and stuff.

In the UK most Mirpuris tend to identify themselves as Pakistanis or sometimes Kashmiri but, hardly ever Indians.
