Understanding India's love for 'China maal' like Xiaomi, Gionee & OPPO

WTF, we don't need a full article to explain the Indian's love for Chinese phones.

I can explain it with 3 words:

"Cheap @ss price"

.
Why is Indian government allowing Chinese products when they very well know that they won't last long?Chinese products should be banned in India. They are looting innocent people's hard earned money.

Market rules. It is upto people to decide if they are getting their moneys worth. Besides, Chinese smartphones would not only keep the market highly competitive, but also enable people at the bottom of economic hierarchy to use smartphones.

But those smart phones will not even last for even 6 months. What market rules? How can any responsible govt allow such fraud to continue in broad day light?anyway the things are now changing.People are not going for China goods now. They have become synonymous to low quality products.

If that is the case most of the time, they can never survive in Chinese home market. Usually big-name smart phone producers build their products with consistent quality, if one smart phone product can survive in China, they can survive in other markets as well. Nowadays, only a handful of companies dominate china smart phone market. They kick Samsung from No.1 position to 5th or 6th position in a short period in world's No.1 market, not only because the price is cheaper.

.
Samsung is definitely feeling the threat of Chinese brands after losing top position. Here in EU many have Chinese phones in their wish list

.
...is that the world in your mind? Indian goods are better? you meant climax oil?

He meant Automobiles perhaps :)

In China, we produce high-end to the cheapest goods, and for big part of users(like Indians), for their income, only the cheap ones can be afforded. So stop talking about quality, it's not from your mouth, it's from factory and under QC, if Indian can offer better goods.

ARE THESE GOODS FAMOUS FOR QUALITY ON THE WORLD?

Seems like Chinese ethnocentric mentality is getting the best of you.

There is something called consumer perception, and atleast among the Indians from my experience Brand Chinese from a quality point has very low value.

The phrase "China maal" itself used synonymous in derogatory context of quality.

In other words, even if a Lenovo laptop is better in terms of QC than say Toshiba of same price, An average Indian will choose Toshiba because its Japanese.

That is brand Japan for you :)

This is not just Indian view, Pakistani as well

Here is Pakistani host making fun of Chinese mobiles :D

I am willing to bet its global.

However, I am confident Chinese companies in a couple of years will achieve quality level of South Korean and Japanese companies.
