The United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping Force, whose operations are continuing at seven of the most dangerous parts in the world, has lost more than 3,000 people over the past 65 years...

...Looking at the nationalities of the soldiers, who died in UN peacekeeping missions, the Indian army is placed on the top with loss of 154.

The Indian army was followed by Nigeria with 138, Pakistan with 133, Ghana with 130, Canada with 121, Bangladesh with 113, France with 108 and Britain with 103...

It's not surprising that the most death come from South Asian and African countries, that contribute less to the UN by financial support.

South Asian nation deployed more soldiers in UN missions because they give little financial support to UN & payment in UN missions are more in their respective countries currency compare to their salary. But after Indian economic boom increase in financial support to UN & hike in salary in armed forces significatly reduce the number of Indian troops.
