I can relate, my house maid has 2 sons. Both of them lost their jobs, one worked at a local samosa shop earned 300rs per day and the other one ran a cigarette stall. 5pm tak Ramadan mai kon samosay leta hai when iftari is around 7. This was due to limited lockdown, full lockdown I can only imagine the consequences on economy and how vulnerable our lower segment(70% of workforce) of our society is.

I hope since things have changed after ramadan due to timing and they got their jobs back. Now media and public is asking for full lockdown.

I agree full lockdown was never an option for a country like Pakistan. The misery and suffering will be too much for a large segment of our society. It will lead to social unrest and resentment, which we can not afford in our current situation.

Yes smart lockdown and maintaining a delicate balance was the only choice we had. The government SOP were simple, our people simply failed to understand the gravity of situation.
Criticizing a decision and finger pointing is easy understanding the circumstances and limitations in which those decisions were made is hard.

The job of the government is to facilitate a business friendly culture to take root. Government linked politicians should not be running businesses.

PIA was in such situation tht mifta ismail sakd buy PIA get steelmill free and here we are with profit in PIA.


If we manage to shutdown steelmill consider this even a bigger favor on our nation as well. For 5 years steelmill closed and we kept paying salaries.

Court will revert the decision of steelmill sadlay.

Petrol was expensive it was PTI fault but when petrol is cheaper oh look international market this and that. Wah bhai metha metha hap hap.

Construction of dams will bring jobs in huge numbers itself. Its a long project.

Exactly this system has to go, we need an authoritarian and just system. This is simply unsustainable. Designed by the elites for the elites. Believe me or not the way i see it, we heading in that direction.
