ULFA slams Bangladeshis

How are the NDFB, KLNLF and UPDS doing?

China must support their cause

The NDFB has declared an unilateral ceasefire and demanded cultural protection and land rights in 2011, issue closed.

The KNLF leadership is dead and or imprisoned with one of their most prominent fellow Kave Rongpipi taking part in the mass surrener back in 010 and 011. The KNLF takes its cues from the ULFA and will come to heel the minute the ULFA officially does. Although I am hoping that this particular arrangement will break down so that we can retain the current ULFA secretary on the back-burner and cause a further split in the last insurgent group active in the NE which has significant ties with ULFA- those I want dead- not negotiated with. But one must sacrifice one's wishes for the good of the nation.

the UPDS is active somewhat and will only follow the ULFA's lead on this in matters concerning the Karbi people in Assam.

Out of the 20 major insurgencies that plagued the NE, 17 have have subsided with groups even joining the legitimate political process. 3 remained active including THE LARGEST Group of them all AND THE MOST LETHAL- ULFA which has now come to terms with us. 2 more to go.:D

Dream on.

ALL THANKS TO OUR EFFORTS AND MYANMAR- OUR TRUE ALLY IN THE REGION. We must remember their honest service to us in our moment of need.

All of them neutralized, KLNLF has entered into a new peace negotiation and has agreed on a cease fire. NDFB has vowed to expediate peace process.

So BURN

Guwahati: Six insurgent groups are currently active in Assam while 12 others in talks with the Centre and the state government, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Rockybul Hussain said on Monday.

Six groups -- ULFA's anti-talk faction, National Democratic Front of Bodoland's (NDFB) anti-talk faction, Karbi Peoples' Liberation Tigers (KPLT), Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO), Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam (MULTA) and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM) -- are active in the state, Hussain said replying to a question in the House.

Hussain said outfits in talks were NDFB's Progressive faction, ULFA's pro-talk faction, Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF), Adivasi Cobra Military of Assam (ACMA), Birsa Commando Force, Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA), United Kukigram Defence Army (UKDA), Kuki Liberation Army (KLA), Hmar Peoples' Convention-Democratic, Adivasi Peoples' Army, All Adivasi National Liberation Army (AANLA) and Santhal Tiger Force.

The Ranjan Daimary faction of NDFB and the National Saotal Liberation Army (NSLA) have declared unilateral ceasefire, Hussain said while replying on behalf of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who also holds the Home Affairs portfolio, said.

Two groups -- Bengali Tigers Force (BTF) and United Liberation Front of Barak Valley -- have already surrendered.

Settlement has been reached by the central and state governments with the United Peoples' Democratic Solidarity and the two factions of the Dima Halam Daogah (DHD).

"However, details regarding the progress of talks with various outfits cannot be disclosed now," Hussain said.

On cases faced by leaders and cadres of outfits in talks, he said, "We will not lift the cases faced by them. The cases will be dealt by the courts and judiciary."

Replying to a supplementary by AIUDF MLA Sherman Ali that insurgents killing innocent people are being given VIP treatment, Hussain said, certain policies have been framed by the central government to deal with groups and their cadres during negotiation.

"We will not allow cadres staying in designated camps to be involved in anti-social activities and any such case will be dealt with firmly," he said.

Globally also certain rules are followed by governments during negotiations with insurgent outfits, he said.

A monthly assistance of Rs 3,000 is provided to each cadre belonging to groups engaged in peace talks.

Asked about efforts to bring back ULFA's General Secretary Anup Chetia from Bangladesh, the minister said the central government is pursuing the repatriation issue.

looks like the liberating forces of assam are winning

When will the impotent learn to achieve something on their own? On the other hand, who needs foreign intervention for their freedom, expecting much from them is futile.

We are a third world shiteee hole.....we can only show moral support to the opressed hard working citizens of Assam. You have to understand that. We are not the Indian Superpower.

:omghaha:

The National Democratic Front of Bodoland's has all of a record no. of 120 cadre.

MULTA and HuM are momin scum- those are the one's- they are one and the same only two split leaders- those are the one's I was referring to when I sain I want them dead.

Oh and NDFB's Ranjan Daimary took away another 40 cadre when he declared an unilateral ceasefire.

The KPLT and the KLO are the only two real remaining factions.

Bengal Tiger force HAS ALREADY SURRENDERED..:cheesy:

There are as I said 2-3 groups active which we consider insurgents in legal terms and one group of Muslim terrorists.:D

Didn't read the article before posting or what?

Jawaans will die and attrition will continue for more years till the last three are brought to heel. But then we didn't let go of Kashmir due to attrition we sure as hell won't let go here. As I said dream on and wish that a far more capable power than you will ever be tries to poke its nose into our affairs given that BD is below the level of even a penny player.:D
