.
British GDP is stagnant since 2010. And with the cost of supporting a decaying demographics, it will be increasingly difficult for them to even operate a coastal navy, forget a proper functioning blue water navy.

In fact, the situation in the USA is not good either. They have four aviation ships undergoing repairs at the shipyard, and it is said that they can be repaired before 2035. But according to Chinese think tanks, the USA will never be able to repair these aircraft carriers.

lol, it's different in the US Navy, (In fact, I don't even know if this news about HMS Prince of Wales is true because it would cost them more to stripe them for parts instead of using it with this age, this was talked about even before Prince of Wales were put out of service, but let's pretend it is)

US Navy run on a rule of three, 1/3 of fleet is active, 1/3 of the fleet is undergoing deployment readiness, and the final third is dry docked. The difference is, Nimitz is at its terminal service phase, ie, out of their service life. Case in point, the first ship of Nimitz class, USS Nimitz, is going to be in service for 49 years next year as they were commissioned on June 30, 1975, so when they go to the drydock at the last stage, they aren't coming back, because they will be replaced by new Gerald Ford Class.

When Nimitz was drydocked from the current deployment in 2025, it WILL BE REPLACED by USS John F Kennedy currently undersea trial. And then when Eisenhower went into terminal phase drydock in 2027, it will not come back out and will be replaced by USS Enterprise which is to be commissioned by 2026, and then USS Carl Vinson go to dry dock in 2032, It's not going to come back out and be replaced by USS Doris Miller and so on.

You really should quote the ENTIRE article, and not just the title and the first paragraph, or if you are too cheap to pay for the $10 bucks subscription they were asking for, you may want to go look for unpaid non-pay wall news.

A £3 BILLION warship which was only declared fully operational in 2021 is to be partially stripped for parts following a major mechanical failure.

The HMS Prince of Wales, which was built at Rosyth Dockyard between 2011 and 2019, was expected to be ready for frontline duties in the Royal Navy by 2023.

However, the aircraft carrier broke down due to technical issues in August 2022 during a long-planned visit to the USA.

Occurring off the coast of the Isle of Wight, the ship was less than 24 hours into its planned crossing of the Atlantic.

The issues centre around the starboard propeller although the portside propellor also needs to be replaced, according to the Mail on Sunday.

Now, while in dry dock in Scotland, some parts from the HMS Prince of Wales will be stripped to replace broken parts in another vessel - her sister ship the HMS Queen Elizabeth.

It will include scavenging the ship’s oil and fuel filters, which separate seawater from diesel in the fuel tanks, as well as one of the chains from its flight desk lifts, which carry fighter jets from interior hangers up to the flight deck.

It comes after a link in one of the chains broke on the HMS Queen Elizabeth, which was deemed too expensive to replace immediately.

According to the Royal Navy, the process known as “equipment cannibalisation” saves time and money.

Repairs to the HMS Prince of Wales are set to cost around £25 million although the navy insists that it will still be operational within the agreed timeframe.

A Royal Navy spokesman said: “We remain committed to ensuring HMS Prince of Wales commences her operational programme as planned, in autumn 2023, including operational flying training and trials.

“It is not unusual for equipment to be transferred between ships of the same class to ensure operational availability and avoid delays.

“We do not provide a running commentary on the specific details of ships undergoing repair or maintenance.”

The 16th Freedom Class LCS was just launched when it was hit back to the shipyard for repairs. What do you think of this matter?

Usually, this kind of joke only happens in India, or is the USA essentially an enhanced version of India?

First, that is a completely different question.

Second, There were only 12 Freedom Class LCS.

  1. Freedom
  2. Fort Worth
  3. Milwaukee
  4. Detroit
  5. Little Rock
  6. Sioux City
  7. Witchita
  8. Billings
  9. Indianapolis
  10. St Louis
  11. Minneapolis-Saint Paul
  12. Cooperstown (finished but not commissioed)

And then Freedom Class only numbered in odd number so LCS-16 Will NOT be a Freedom class, but will be an independent class. And the 16th Freedom Class LCS would still be in the shipyard being made......

So I will say you either get duped like the article you supplied before, or you are confused...
