Ukraine promotes guided-missiles to Pakistan’s T59 MBT


Ukraine is now promoting to the Pakistani Army the 100mm STUGNA gun-launched anti armour missiles for the T59 MBTs currently in service. Pakistan has been the traditional client of Ukraine-made gun-launched anti armour missiles, and the Pakistani ground forces are already armed with 125mm calibre Komat gun-launched missiles.

i guess pakistan army will be retiring these tanks soon! we have got good production rate of alkhalid and alzarar so these old tanks are to be phased out! what is the point in inducting new system for these tanks!

These missiles are provided for the upgraded Al Zarrar tanks. I dont think PA is going to retire them anytime soon. The number of Alkhalids required for full replacement would be a prohibited cost for PA.

oh of course the AlZarar need not be replaced at the time!

actually the post didnt mentioned AlZarar and only remarked T59 so i got confused,
thankyou!

AlZarar are here to stay until i guess we have enough T80 from ukrain, AlKhalid and a few upgraded AlKhalid or AlKhalid 2!!

they are anti-armour missiles not SAMs!
