Hello new to the forum.

I recently got into LUMS and IBA BBA hons and In Business management Course of University of Coventry and University of Hertfordshire in United kingdom.

Wanted opinions of people if I go to UK and spent alot of money on my degree would it be worth it?or should I stick with LUMS or IBA.

Do companies here in Pakistan prefer employees holding UK degrees over local ones?

University of Coventry or University of Hertfordshire, both are not worth the thousands of GBP that you will have to dish out. It's better to study in Pakistan's top institutes, get good grades and then go abroad to a superior university for your Masters/MBA etc.

I have studied abroad and as such my recommendation is to study at LUMS, get good grades and then go abroad.

No. Trust me, i've lived and studied in UK. Hertfordshire is not worth spending that much money on. Save that money, get a good degree from LUMS, and go abroad to a much superior university for Masters. In the UK, Russell Group Universities is what you should be aiming for. I have friends who studied at Hertfordshire, and all of them had a reason or two, like they didn't have to look for work after graduation (came back to run a family business) and so could party all they want. If that's your plan, then go ahead, but from employment perspective, you will be at a serious disadvantage. Employers look at top 100, top 50, top10, they don't bother for anything beyond that.

I would second that

Spending £9000 per year is not worth it. You should consider coming to UK for Masters/MBA degree but stay in Pakistan till then

PS: If you ultimately plan to go back to Pakistan after attaining masters degree then it may no longer feasible as you are literally spending 3-4 million rupees for education and if you did not get enough income in Pakistan, you are literally spending many years of your income on education.

to be really honest, Pakistani Universities standard is very high nowadays, much better than some UK universities.

I say stick with LUMS or IBA, you will save money and yet much better education.

Don't bother coming to the UK if you're easily influenced. And the Uni of Hertfordshire isn't worth the money and travel.

stick with Pakistani Universities, safe money and better education.

if you want to study, then choose top institutions in pak... if you want to escape pakistan and be a slave labour here then join these average uni by paying 9k per year.:p:

Those UK universities aren't the highest in prestige, even in business management. I'd definitely say, a higher ranking Pakistani uni might be worth your trouble.

Many people I know who went to LUMS and others did post graduate degrees in Economics, Engineering, you name it in high ranking UK unis, including the likes of Oxford.

I would agree with the advice given by @Donatello and @Aether. The £9,000 a year plus expenses is a fortune compared to what you might need to spend in Pakistan. Good luck anyhow.
