UK to purge Huawei from 5G by 2027

UK’s full-fibre broadband operators will also be given two years to “transition” away from the purchase of Huawei equipment. However, the Chinese company’s existing kit used for 2G, 3G and 4G networks is deemed secure and will not have to be removed.

There will be many drama before 2027, nothing is impossible. Once UK exit from EU, and signed FTA with US, they may invite Huawei back.

2027? By then, wonder what will be the alternatives. 5G will likely be outdated as well.

Our civil state (state council hierarchy) will certainly think that there is still too much for us at state in those becursed islands.

Zhongnanhai will think that we gave enough foreign relations troubles, and will want the party to overlook it too.

I follow the news. The CPC has a very weak image where I reside. My Taiwanese friends and co workers so not want to be part of China.
I really think the Chinese Communist need to rethink their thought process. They are alienating the younger generation. The way they communicate to the reporters are standard protocols. At times the use of idioms and ambiguous sentences get mistranslated intentionally or unintentionally.
The way they handled the current border skirmish with India and the non interference of Hong Kong sends the wrong signals to Taiwanese and Hong Kong separatists. Stronger actions are required to win the hearts of the separatists.

Wang Huning is in charge of US policy right now, and he is a hardliner. However if this is true then it seems the government is no longer interested in its own continued existence. They seem lackadaisical in the face of an existential threat.

I don't understand this news, tbh. English ordered Huawei equipment to be purged completely from Britain's 5G network by 2027? How can they purge Huawei equipment from 5G network by 2027, if they haven't using Huawei 5G now? So they are using Huawei 5G now?
